    Elk Caller Warning

Shooting, being around loud equipment or anything with the potential to damage hearing is a must for me these days. Unfortunately, in my younger years I didn't take that as serious as I should have. Not being able to hear as well in the woods definitely adds another hurdle for me.

    Question about broadhead tuning

The only other thing i would consider when changing sights, is that you may need to adjust and re-level that particular sight to your bow

    hot tents and cots?

I have used that same Helinox cot inside a Supertarp in the past, but never while running the stove… I think there would still be plenty of room to comfortably run that particular cot + a stove for 1 person.

Tipping on Self Guided Moose Hunts

A friend and I went on a fly in AK moose hunt last year, and we had the same question about tipping the pilots. We were unsure, so we ended up tipping each pilot $200 and also bought them supper. They seemed very grateful and surprised we were even thinking of tipping them. Sent from my XT1650...

What is your favorite hunting arrow?

I have also used the Black Eagle Deep impact shafts with their 56 gr outsert with good luck in this set up. Finished weight was around 525 gr. And they shot awesome. The only reason i swapped to the VAP is i felt the 250 spine suited my set up a little better. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

What is your favorite hunting arrow?

I am shooting the older style 92 gr ss outsert. I have had issues keeping them glued in before using just regular epoxy, they would go into the target and the insert would keep on going. I started using the "insert weld" and it has been much better! No issues at all! As far as durability goes i...

Gear that failed to the point that the hunt was over?

A few years back on an elk hunt in Colorado we had our tent flooded in a 4 day soaker, which left us no choice but to come off of the mountain to dry out and get a new tent. That wasn't at all a gear failure, just inexperience. I am much more picky on choosing a camp site now. Sent from my...
