No, we have many foreigners coming here for work. You need to obtain a work permit so it's not as simple as just driving up here and starting a job but it is completely possible.
We have a lack of teachers here in BC and especially in the North so I'm sure it would be easy to get a permit.
Oh yes, the fishing is fantastic. Pretty nice to run to the river before/after work and catch a couple of salmon for dinner. Also, the coast is only 4 hours away so ocean fishing is a big thing as well.
The area has way more to offer than just hunting.
We have a pretty broad range of different viewpoints on staff but we do all agree on the existence of God.
However, we have a good public school in town as well so if you are serious about considering the area then give me a shout.
Any high school Math/Science teachers looking for a great opportunity?
My school is looking for a math/science teacher to start next year (September 2023). Bulkley Valley Christian School is an independent (private) school in Smithers BC. I started working here 6 years ago and it has been a...
No. It's a 2200 cubic inch sleeve inside the main bag, you are not going to put a bone in elk quarter in there. It works really well for boned meat though.
We had a new hunter in the house this year and she was seconds away from taking a moose. Unfortunately no great trophy pics this year so there will be no three-peat.

I have lots of respect for people that master their craft and also flat-out love when people are passionate and fully committed to what they are doing.
The thing I find hard is watching people who suck at something.
Ya the sport of soccer is not the most exciting but I can find a way to...
Ya, it was exciting and extremely disappointing to come out of that effort with a loss.
My school (I'm a teacher) delayed classes and we packed into the science lab to watch the second half on the big screen. Fun experience.
Had a golden doodle but ended up giving it to my boss as it wasn't the dog for us. They make great indoor/city dogs. Their coats don't shed (nice for inside) but they are horrible in the outdoors. When they get wet and muddy they stay that way forever. Every stick gets tangled in their hair and...
Mounts are super cool but I don't have the extra cash for that. Just paying for mountain hunting gear for the family is a high enough cost.
In the last 5 years, I have done euro mounts myself on 2 stone sheep, 3 mountain goats and 2 black bears. No way am I dropping over $8,000 CDN mounting...
I upgraded to the epsilon on my vertix and I love it. Saved weight from the Hybride hunter, sleeker profile (the Mathews mount is perfect), and quieter. I would choose the epsilon hands down.
