    Most summer "scouting" runs elk out of the area whether you see them or not. Seen it happen countless times. And they usually DON'T come back by hunting season. Too many other places to hang out where they are not bothered

    Gotta love the Montana shoulder season

    Gotta give FWP credit. Finally figured a way to unload all the unsold N.R. elk tags! There has been about $1.5-2 million in unsold tags for several years. Now, let's add more units into shoulder seasons and get back to a one in three chance for N.R. to draw like it used to be!!
