Hi Vern, Been very busy confirming sizing for customers and shipping out orders.
L&S elected to utilize Italian PERWANGER suede leather for our build. We have said it before and we are sticking to our guns. If it has our name on it it has to be top shelf.
This is the highest quality leather...
L&S Shipping costs
This was brought to my attention yesterday afternoon. We have been very busy and do our best to catch issues like this.
After discussing with our staff no one can explain why you would have been quoted 48.99 to ship a pair of boots here in the lower 48 USA.
If you ran into a...

Luke that is to funny.. Id guess you have enough depth in the toe box!
The Darn Tough claim you don't need to use liners. I'm telling you some people must!
These poor folks blister when they look at a mountain.
Liners you either like them or you don't. They serve a very useful purpose.

I agree with you guys the leather does provide more support then the blended upper and offers more support.
The benefit to the Cordura and leather. If treated properly will dry faster and tends to be a little lighter.
Wouldn't it be great if we could have the best of both world's! We just might...
Do you guys think the 1/4# saving's going with the Cordura and leather boot is really that much of an advantage?
I'm talking about a backcountry Elk or Mule deer hunt?
Or do you think the leather boot would be a better all round choice and why?
Luke shank thickness will vary from one manufacture to another.
Remember that upper construction also increases structure to the entire boot, just like setting the walls of a house.
The taller upper will also create leverage making the boot easier to flex. Like a long cheater bar.

Darn tough runs about 67% Merino 29% Nylon 4% Lycra Noticed more wool feel and support
Bridgedale runs 40% Merino 35% Nylon 24% Poly Noticed a silky feel little less support
I like both. They have a different...
Be very careful here!! Barefoot is not going to work in most PF cases seen, and will most likely cause more tearing and scare tissue!
Nerve damage follows and then you get to spend a month in an air cast. I'm not going to toot my horn but I have helped treat and seen hundreds of cases
and do...
Heel height in combination with a flat sole provides stability through gait and also off loads the tension in your heel cord and also the fascia band. Consider a good training and work shoe. Note not all insole work! There is more to after market insole then just filling the arch, much more...
