Spine isn't going to make an arrow not group at 20 yards either with a field tip. The new Axis 340's are essentially the same as the .350CE arrows for static spine.
I also wrapped my finger around and touched the tip of my thumb when I used to shoot a trigger. For me, the best trigger releases were the Scott's with the small heads and the straps so you could shorten them way up and easily get your finger around them.
Lot's of stuff could be causing your issues. your center shot will be slightly off shooting a 4mm. Your going from a 7+mm arrow with the CE350's down to a 4mm. You're going to be nock high for sure, typically nock high won't cause erratic flight, contact of some sort is typically the culprit of...
Find a used CBE Tek Hybrid 3 or 5 pin. You will want to manually make the tapes for here since she will most likely be shooting slower than the factory tapes. My Kids and wife all use Tek Hybrids and I used one for like 10 years before handing it down to my son. A 3 pin allows you about 20...
I bought a used saw and someone made their own for it with a piece of 5/8" box tube. I will try to remember to post a picture when I get home from work. essentially it has a cut on one end, capped and it's threaded with a wing nut to tighten it. the arrow end has a hole drilled though it with...
I've been using a blitz and tape instead of glue, the tape has been outlasing my feathers, and I have only had 1 feather rip the tape off and that was when I was pulling them back out of a target that they had gone inside of.
My Mach 34 is very forgiving. I make a shot that feels like I executed poorly and still the arrow hits the spot. I don't shoot with a stabilizer and can stack arrows with the bow. I can constantly put them in a 10" circle at 120 yards. Compared to my RX4 I was shooting previously it's crazy...
Not much of a story but a good lesson in patients. I bought a recurve to do a traditional only hunt. Shot all summer and became very proficient out to 40 yard. I scouted the day before the opener and found a nice buck. Opening morning I found the buck again and put on a good stalk. The buck I...
Multiple pins for Elk hunting, I've seen several people miss out on opportunities on Elk trying to adjust single pin sights. One buddy in particular from PA probably missed 3 or 4 shot opportunities in one season because of fiddling with his sight when he should have already been at full draw...
I've heard of guys supergluing the blades closed on rages to practice with them, I'm sure it would work on a dead meat as well. A little soak in acetone and they would be as good as new. One thing for sure is you don't want to shoot a dead meat into a target, I did it one time and it took a...
Mine just showed up, I haven't had a chance to shoot with them yet but they fit perfectly on the shaft. I don't think I will ever fletch any of my arrows again.
Longer ATA bows are more forgiving as are bows with larger brace heights. I switched from a 29" bow to a 34" bow and wish I would have done it a long time ago. I can just shoot better all around with the longer more forgiving bow, even shots that don't feel great hit their mark.
I could...
If one fits weird and the rest or good toss it. I've never had nocks wear to the point where I needed to replace a whole set of them. If all of them are getting loose it's probably serving wear and not the nocks. No need to replace them just to replace them.
Totally agree about fletching, I reload too. I have two boys that shoot, my wife shoots and I also shoot trad so I fletch way more arrows than I want to. It made since to buy an arrow saw and a coupe blitz with all of us shooting. I really hope the ez vanes work well. They have 4 fletch too if...
It sucks to fletch. Rewarding but sucks while doing it. I just ordered some ez vanes from Australia and hope they work awesome. I shoot a lot and my targets get worn out and I ruin a bunch of fletching shooting through them.
Quik fletch wraps are awesome also, I shot them for years and...
No reason to quit or get so tied up in arrow weight. Shoot whatever shoots the best and is the most comfortable and out a sharp two blade head in it.
I’m shooting a 445gr with a 45lb recurve and am very happy with how it shoots and plan on killing deer and elk with it. I have buddies who’s...
