I put a 3-15x44 firedot on a 280AI last year and I’m very pleased with it thus far. For my use on a deer rifle, I’ve not seen anything else in its price range that is even close. That said, I rarely dial a shot and it might see 20-30 rounds a year if that. It rides to/from my hunting spots in...
The biggest problem I’ve had with coolers is all I’ve bought leak rain into the cooler. I want one I can haul around in the pickup bed until needed that doesn’t leak.
The wife and I have vacationed all over Jamaica many times, with Couples Negril bring my favorite spot. They have a lot of local rums but don’t know about Captain Morgan. If he’s that particular probably best to bring his own. Try the Bob Marley while you’re there.
If I had $2500 to spend, there is only 1 choice, the S&B Polar T96.

I emptied my quiver one time at small buck underneath my stand when I first started how hunting. Never touched him. Had to stand up and yell to run him off. Shit happens. 😟
I wear Darn Tough socks exclusively, daily. I have a drawer full of them. Never noticed any odor whatsoever. But yep, they do wear out and I send a shipment every year back to Darn Tough on warranty. They issue a credit which I use to order more socks. Can’t ask for better service on a garment...
No hoods here except on the rain jacket, which I rarely wear. I prefer to use beanies, neck gaiters, and my FL Tundra Balaclava when it gets really cold.
So having a hard time making up my mind. I have a HH rain shell I could use, but would need to get a mid layer to work with it. I think I’d get more use out of the Jetstream though because I almost never need a rain shell.
What will be warmer, the rain shell with something like the nano puff or...
Sorry, I should have been more clear, not looking for camo or hunting jacket. More so just an every day, light jacket, to use as a do-all outer layer that is waterproof and wind proof. Was hoping to use find something for a sightseeing trip to Iceland in September as the outer jacket.
I’m looking for a fairly light good quality jacket that is waterproof and wind proof. Not really looking for a straight shell but something with thin fleece lining on the inside for a little warmth.
I bought a Helly Hansen Crew Midlayer and it’s perfect except one thing. It’s about 6” too short.
Like my VX5-HD a lot. It checks all of the boxes for me, although I could always use a bit more low light performance. That said, I don’t bounce it off rocks or fiddle with the turrets much.
Yes, there isn't much around East Glacier that is available. Not sure what we will do at this point, but we don't really want to drive back and forth from the West side every day.
