The only factory ammo I shot was the Hornady Precision Hunter 162 ELD-X. It shot well, I really only shot it to break the barrel in. After that it's been all handloads. -

With factory Hornady Precision Hunter 162 ELD-X I got around 2800 fps. That was un-suppressed. My hand loads are at 2950 with the same bullet. I could push it faster but that's where I got the best accuracy and low es. -

Shooting great. I hand load for it and it shoots the 162 ELD-X really well (well under an inch at 2950 fps). Killed two mule deer with it this year, both one shot kills at 150 yards and 325 yards. People complain about the stock but I haven't had any issues with it. -

I'm really liking it. I've taken it on two backpack hunts and have had zero issues with it. I'm using the Warne Mountain Tech rings and I've had no problems with it holding zero. My friend used that rifle to take another buck at 335 and it went 20 yards and was down. -

Got my first animal with the Ultralite. Mine is chambered in 280 AI. I'm shooting 162 ELD-X at 2950. Shot was only 150 but he dropped in his tracks. So far so good with my sample size of one -

Hunting Colorado unit 35, 36, & 361 in 2020
I don't think it will be long until 35/36/361 will either become like Unit 44/45/47/444 where archery will be bull only (rifle cow tags are extremely limited) or do away with OTC tags in those units all together. I use Hornady 135 Critical Duty +P for my carry ammo in my 43x. I haven't had any malfunctions with that ammo. -

That was the average of the first 10 rounds out of the rifle. The barrel is starting to speed up a touch but still only has 50 rounds through it. Next time I go out and shoot I'll shoot a couple of the factory loads and see if there is a difference. -
