Got out today and shot a couple 10 round groups to verify zero. Ended up adjusting 1 mil down and 1 mil right. Didn’t stretch it out as the range down the street only goes to 100.
I do not have the rifle experience of many on here, but I can say I’ve never shot a stock that is so easy to settle...
it's actually a two tone. They chose the green, it's got some tungsten as well to match the barreled action.
Didn't show well in the picture, it's almost holographic. As you shift it around in the light the silver color pops in spots.
In my mind I intended the tungsten to be a little...
Mine just came in. Will hopefully shoot it this weekend.
Certainly not as experienced as many here, but love the grip, even with my big bear paw hands. UM Lows work great for me. And didn’t see any need to adjust the scope that was set up for the default tikka stock, even with all those extra...
Don’t think it’s been said already. I’ve always wanted a tc encore, but thought the stock options were horrible.
Given they seem to be shut down it might not be the smartest move. But if stockys made a shootable stock for the encore (re: Rokstock or vg2) I’d likely scrounge for a used receiver...
To add. The group here that has followed this thread with an open mind and made the change and seen the results for themselves has also had years of FNGs and others come in with same arguments over and over and refuse to acknowledge the actual results.
There’s a short leash for those not...
For the most part I think 10E gets it. But not having been around for the 3+ years of this threads existence causes some error in translation.
The video is great and entirely supports what this thread discusses. Nobody is arguing that a larger (175gr) tmk isn’t going to do more damage than a...
Sheesh guys... Goes live as I'm putting my kids to bed!
Got my order in at least. RH/sendero channel/no scallop/14.5" LOP + the cerakote request sent to the email.
In my experience this very much depends on your boss , company management, etc. Usually this is a play to reduce risk for the company number crunchers on PTO that would need to get paid out to employees. It gets it off their books. Unfortunately bad management can really ruin it for everyone...
just spent an hour trying to figure out what cerakote I should have UM do... but who am I kidding. Going to go bare stock so I can rattle can it myself.
cutting through the muscle it will be a much darker purple than the rest of the meat. If you clean off all the fascia and silverskin the meat under may be totally fine. I do my own processing and am pretty anal about getting all that stuff off.
is the meat actually bloodshot, or is it just blood throughout the connective tissue between muscles?
I'm 6 animals in now with the 6cm and 223 with match bullets after shooting a 30-06 and monos for years. I'm noticing a similar amount of blood in fascia tissue, but when doing final...
