Night Rain from O'so brewing out of Plover. So many good breweries in Wisconsin right now, O'so, 3 Sheeps, Central Waters, Copper State...

After burning my 3 pts on a general tag last year figured it was worth it to spend the extra money for better odds in the special. Got lucky and we'll be headed back this year.

@mpodkolzin sorry man, don't think I will ever part with it. It was the first rifle I hunted with and my great grandfather gave me that gun and a Winchester model 94 that his father bought in the early 1900's before he passed.

You're gonna love it man!! It will handle a load well, this is mine with 80 lbs of meat, head and gear for the day. Had it pretty well stuffed.

With 10 points 4 guys should pull a tag, we could bring him where I killed mine this year. Not many furry tractors roaming around there either.

Ha, this thread gives me hope in humanity. But I would've killed a bigger bull this year if I would have stuck with the original thing and not gotten thing 3.0. They just don't make anything like they used to.

Wrangler outdoor pants. Under armour heat gear long and short sleeves for archery, think I paid $15 on sale. I do still wear my sitka ascent pants and long sleeve that I found in the cabelas bargain cave for 50% off 6 years ago. Still going strong but I won't be replacing them when they wear...
I’m an electrician with a Masters license in Wisconsin, did the IBEW apprenticeship program and it was a great education and will give you a leg up on other guys applying for jobs later. I’m non union now, didn’t want to deal with the travel and bs but having that license and them paying for it...
I come out from Wisconsin every year to hunt so I started in the same boat. Your boots will be fine, Leukotape works wonders for hot spots and is a lot cheaper than a new pair of boots. Hunted 2 years in Keen work boots and had no issues. I still run my Marmot Limelight tent for backpacking, its...
4 of us are headed out in mid September and are finalizing our hunt plans. Our go to spots right now are in 90, 94 and 104. The country looks really good up in 68, 81, and 83 though. We usually backpack hunt in CO but that won’t be happening in bear country. 2 of us have hunted in bear country...
I like mine and for the money they're really good but they're still a $350 bino. Not very crisp out on the edge but other than that I don't have any issues with them. If I were spending a lot of time behind glass I would spend more but for tree stand and still hunting for whitetails and my...
I bought one last year because of the warranty and a really good deal I got. It's been average at best. I could only consistently get it to range out to 650-800 depending on the terrain and weather.

I run .300 XT Hunters cut 28" with 100 grain brass insert and 100 grain WAC Em 4 blade right at 500 grains. The inserts also snap off at 50 grains. I'm shooting 72# out of a matthews halon though. Never chrono'd it because I really don't care that much.

I don't ever leave stands out and I am quite a ways north of the line so nothing to worry about there. Been working so much I have only sat once this fall. I bought a set of millenium sticks my local shop had and I like them but havent had a chance to get out with them yet.
Hopefully we get...
Same gun my father was started on and then started me on. It's a great gun to teach how a gun works and firearm safety. I never remember worrying about recoil.
I would start him on a single, over/under or pump but that's just me. I went to an auto when I was 14 and ran that for a decade but...
Thanks for all the replies guys, and no Jeff I meant tenderloin, it was nuts. Unfortunately I deleted the pics I took. The wife didn't say yes yet but she didn't say no either. All cleared with the work just in case tho.

Hey guys, was suggested the Hornady Superformance SST 162 grain last year by my local shop and it grouped well. Ended up shooting my buck at 100 yards behind the front shoulder and ended up throwing out the off side shoulder, ribs, and part of tenderloin because the bullet turned into shrapnel...
I know you said the 3.5 but don't sleep on the 5.0 coyote. I have a '13 xlt supercrew with 6.5' box and got 18 mpg doing 75-80 from Wisconsin to Colorado and back. I get 12-13 when I tow my 19' walleye boat. The EcoBoost has a ton of power and great on gas but my cousin and brother in laws...
