Well, I wanted to get an sense from more experienced archers if what I'm doing can lead to any problems. Right now it doesn't seem to be affecting accuracy, but this can become a negative habit in the future, I should get a handle on it now, right?
What do you mean by follow through? I watch my...
I've had a few people recently comment to me recently that I'm punching my trigger. I don't really put that much thought into what I'm actually doing with my finger. I (obviously) shoot a wrist release (Cobra Pro Caliper). My shot process is as follows:
1. Draw
2. Settle my rear anchor (index...
That answer is a complete cop-out. The Hush crew is clearly unable to distinguish between what's legal and what's ethical. Pretty disappointing. I hope there's enough fallout from this video that they start to think about their choices more critically.
Howdy!
I've been lurking and posting occasionally on the forum for a little bit now. I just moved to Houston from Boston. I'm trying to figure out public land hunting down here and would love to connect with some Roksliders. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. If anyone wants to get...
Hiking Boot Lacing Techniques | Section Hikers Backpacking Blog
This blog post has a couple videos and descriptions of different lacing techniques that I've found helpful.
I have the one from the first drop (so no flat valves). Standard length and width. I've been out with it a handful of times, including winter camping on packed snow, and I slept great every time. I'd say buy with confidence.
Ex Officio. Awesome, fast drying, synthetic material that surprisingly doesn't start stinking too bad. Relatively cheap compared to merino at ~$20 a pair too.
Seriously - denim was the "technical" fabric of the day. If you gave a pair of Pranas or similar pants to a coal miner or cowboy in the 1800s, they'd lose their mind.
Corrugate Guide pants and the North Branch pants are both awesome pieces of gear - great material and nice pocket placement/choices. Second the recommendation for the suspenders with the Guides. Baselayers are also incredibly warm and comfortable. Uncompahgre is super warm and fits very well -...
Massdrop has an "ultralight" version that I picked up a few months back. Only had a chance to use it once but it was comfortable. Specs seem comparable to the NeoTherm.
I've always had more sightings of deer in the mornings and generally enjoy hunting mornings more than evenings. I hunt big woods public land and set up almost exclusively in funnels/travel corridors. I don't find myself bumping deer too much, but I also get in very early. If you can bear getting...
These bows all look sweet, definitely something for everyone (especially me with my 26.5 inch draw!). Nice that they're offering the same bows with different cam options. I'd love to get my hands on one to shoot!
Not cheap, but Outlier Slim Dungarees are hands down my favorite pants. Had them for a few years and they've held up great. Made in the USA. Slim cut, tough material, gusseted crotch, DWR exterior, and when they do get soaked they dry super quick. I wear them for scouting or under waders for...
