I know others have mentioned this but I got to hunt whitetails out of a treestand for the first time this weekend in the Bitterroot Valley.
I was following my online tracker in the dark(windy, blowing 20, gusting 30) at 6:00 AM when I got slightly off course and retraced my steps to the correct...
I got rid of all my non-stick and now use cast iron and carbon steel.
Once you season both, it's really easy.
My observation is you need a bit more oil to use them but the results are so much better.
Another observation is I HATE induction cooktops.
Thus endeth the lesson.
Glock has that unique grip angle compared to what the OP and most others practice with.
Muscle memory is your best friend in an awkward situation.
Glock shooters should stick with Glocks, other platforms are just not a natural mix and match.
I would keep the hot defense ammo for urban carry and use the BB 147grn +P hardcast for hunting sidearm.
It's what I carry in my P365 and don't feel undergunned.
First weekend for testing the satellite function on IOS18. We were camped in a 20yd clearing surrounded by 30' reprod.
Sattelite connection worked great.
Our group stayed in touch the entire weekend.
Between this and downloaded maps on OnX, no other tech necessary but I do still carry a...
I wouldn't even consider a brake.
I have my Tikka 300WSM cut to 20" and shouldered by Kampfeld.
DD Enticer LTi and it is a completely different animal to shoot.
I'm loading Barnes 165 TTSX over H4350 and getting close to 3100fps with no pressure signs.
The term 'stronger' can be interpreted many ways.
It is true that, for the same wall thickness, it has A GREATER RESISTANCE TO BENDING.
That doesn't mean more resistant to impacts...possibly the opposite.
I used the Kuiu for years then switched to the same AGC you have.
The Kuiu is minimalist. Could barely fit a windchecker in the side pocket.
No way you would be able to fit all your listed gear.
I think you need a beefier bino harness like the one you have now.
You will love it.
Massive upgrade over Toyota in every way.
I have a 2015 F150 with the 3.5 Eco 6sp and just turned 170k.
Excellent platform and the only engine-related issue was exhaust manifold bolts failing.
I paid under $2k to have the replaced with upgraded units and gtg.
To echo another...
I bought a CZ 600 Range in 6Creed and it is amazing.
My son has the CZ 600 Alpha in .308 and it has been fantastic.
The Alpha can be had in 6Cr with a 7 twist...I have two Tikkas and other than weight, this rifle competes with them.
You need a lot more than chains on a stock Tacoma.
That said, the Laclede diamond pattern is what I use and like it much more than the standard 90 degree chains.
