Looks like a great start. Since aiming with a 1x reddot at distance introduces uncertainty on ability to aim with precision, suggest you test your loads at closer range. Also pick the best time of day for lighting where you can use the lowest dot size.
You didn’t mention if you were swabbing...
go with Diablo’s bullet recs. I have found it very helpful to install a higher powered scope for load development and bullet testing. Takes the guesswork out of how tight you are aiming on a spot compared with a 1X.
My load testing landed on a load producing a 1.2” group at 250 yds out of my...
Miuley, I should have explained myself better
I have a 1x scope, the leupold rds bdc red dot and a peep with globe.
I went to red dot to try and get more precision at longer range. The 2 moa crosshair on most/all current 1x scopes limits ability to aim with precision. I like peep/globe sight...
The Leopold mount that you can buy with the RDS is way too high for cheek weld. I went with a short rail and low scope mounts. Running Monstrum rail, rings and level and working out perfect
I would recommend a high quality rifle scope, unfortunately not a lot of options. Go to a good shop and have your lucky wife look through the various options.
Rear peep with globe is a great and reliable alternative.
I’m experimenting with both getting ready for an elk hunt. I really like my 1x scope except for thick cross hair which completely covers a 2” dot at 150 yards. Marginal view in low light at longer distance but consistent out to 150.
Working with a Leupold rds bdc now and the 34mm tube is better...
I’d seen a recent thread on another forum about CVA’s and Thor universal bullets being too tight. Be worth testing your sizing pack and they need to be relatively tight to load to produce consistent pressures.
Unfortunate for me, but my first 15 pack shot lights out while load testing and my...
Great condition. I’ve put about 30 miles on these boots. Conditioned with Kennetrek wax. Well cared for, they just don’t fit my feet.
I’ll get some pics up.

Short answer is generally yes. I’ve had much better results using G7 BC with accubonds. What is most relevant is field validation of your drops and adjusting BC/velocity for your selected bullet and load combination.
When I first started using my my F1 archery hunting where I sit a lot, I didnt really care fir the shelf as you couldnt lean back in it. Removing the pack works but found when running and gunning, just undo the waist belt and you have a ready made back rest to lean into at whatever angle you choose
Sitka 2700 pack in good condition. See pictures. Left batwing has small hole thanks to mouse trying to get at some snacks.
