    Exo Mountain K4?

    I’m 5’8” and have both the 23.5” and 25” frame. If I could only have one I’d get the 25” for the long trips and heavy loads. That being said, I actually use the 23.5” more often such as on short trips and day hunts.

    Cold Weather Hunting Hat

    One of my friends has this hat and loves it. I tried it but I prefer the Sitka Blizzard, although the Kuiu protects the cheeks and sides of the face better. Another friend tried both and preferred the Kuiu. I think you’ll love it.

    Early season for hunts anywhere up to 17 days, I take a Black Diamond Spot and a Petzl E-Lite with a set of fresh lithium batteries installed before I leave.

    Aziak has been absolutely fantastic. I use a Tricer lightweight panhead and it has worked fantastic for binos and spotters up to 65mm.

    Looks extra secure to me now. You could always do a bit of nail polish on top and the bottom if you’re concerned about water and rust.

    Day Pack Weight- How much is too much?

    Chunky load for the day for sure. Especially if you’re outside of real late season when you’re packing the layers. I’m usually around the 20lb mark but that would change by a good few pounds in either direction depending on what I’m hunting, how I’m hunting and when/where I’m hunting.

    Nice. I run the SG gun sling bottom in the same spot. Locks in nicely.
