If thinking of going with the Thor bullets yes you need the 4 pack sizing bullets to figure out what size you need for your barrel. One thing to note I tested a brand new knight a few years ago that had never been shot. Could barely get the size .500 down the barrel. But after shooting it 20...
Mule300 I had the same heal issue with the Kennetreks. Heal always seem to get hot after some mileage or hiking up hill. Have used Crispis the last 2 yrs and haven't had a hotspot yet. I did have to go with a 1/2 size larger on the Crispis
Good quandary to have you are right in the thick of it for archery. Lots of good advice above, have never been but done tons and tons of research and would have to say 9 also. I'm at 16 and just need to accept 9,1,3c,10 archery probably isn't going to happen.
Have had a 12 man for the past 7 yrs. Usually there are 3 of us on cots which is about perfect for spacing. No stove just use a buddy heater heater or 2. This is the 1st year we have dealt with real moisture and think I'm going to add a liner before our next trip, wasn't crazy condensation...

Here's my limited experience with our 12 man Seek Outside as you described without a stove and no liner. I have only used it twice on two out of state hunts, both in WY with no moisture. 1st time was my dad an I in WY mid sept. Setup was 2 large cots, 2 chairs, gear, and a folding table...
Like others said the thunder bugle or even a power bugle is pretty easy learn. Also agree with jared on getting him a mouth diagram and a tube right from the start.
Hi everyone,
New guy here from SW Washington. I grew up hunting elk, blacktail and waterfowl here in WA and fishing salmon on the Columbia. Spend most my time fishing now days and try to go on a "out of state" hunt at least every other year.
