Sig Zulu 6 IS Bino vs Vortex UHD 10x42 for chest binos

In terms of battery life for these IS binos I have had them for two seasons now including shooting my bow in the off season. I have yet to need to change my battery. Mine is an AA which I just carry an extra in my bino harness.

    Sig Zulu 6 12’s or 16’s?

I have run both. If what youre typically glassing is 800 yards and in then I would get the 12s. If youre typically glassing further then I would run the 16's. These things are unreal how much they help in finding game.

    Montana Side by Side Laws

can someone point me in the direction of the reg? I guess I’ve been ripping dirty in MT. I live out of state and sxs aren’t allowed to be registered so mine isn’t street legal.

How will 75% Tag Allocation Affect Preference Points in CO?

This means less money for CO fish and game. It also means that you are going to be hunting with more locals than outsiders. Has any state listed res vs NR success rates? I would assume they would have to factor that in when they are making quotas. If the res success rate is higher than NR...

    Sig Rangefinders Archery Firmware update

Yes. It changes your cuts based on your arrow speed. I entered it and it worked well for me. I cant say I have taken any 70 yard 50 degree shots. The biggest difference I have seen between archery mode and their AMR angle comp mode is a couple of yards. It does make a difference on longer...

    Sig Rangefinders Archery Firmware update

In terms of cuts for archery it comes into play when you have fairly extreme angles and decent distances. That is around 40 degrees and past 40 or 50 yards. Inside of those extremes there are inaccuracies but those are usually not noticed by typical archers. That 40 degrees is interesting...

Solid rangefinder for long range rifle as well as archery?

My preference for archery is a monocular not binocular. It allows for one handed use much easier due to weight. The Sig stuff is the only product that has both a rifle ballistic solver and an archery cut mode for inclines to my knowledge. It has to new their new K series stuff though...

    Half sizes above 12?

Just bought some 12.5 schnees beartooths today. It’s definitely a pain in the ass finding half sizes above 12.

How much straightness can you add per inch of arrow cut off?

Realistically they are getting these different straightnesses through different inspection processes and not different manufacturing processes. Aren’t you simply more likely to have a dozen straight arrows out of a match grade set rather then out of their non match counter parts? It seems...

    Sig Kilo 10K Archery Mode

This is the ballistic profile for crossbows. They use this to spit out a hold over subtension that would be dialed or displayed in one of their sights. This will be close to zero help on any sort of vertical bow. Vertical bows already compensate for arrow trajectory with their sights...

    Sig Kilo 10K Archery Mode

I havent spent much time looking through the vortex. I just saw their ranging features and then moved on.

    Sig Kilo 10K Archery Mode

The same as any other binos. I definitely prefer a monocular for an archery hunting LRF. There are very few binos I can use single handed. Ironicly the ones that I can are the ZULU6 image stabilized units.

    Sig Kilo 10K Archery Mode

Yah the Leica has better glass for sure. The Sig is a way better rangefinder however. If youre looking for the best binos get the Leica or Swaros. If youre looking for the best LRF then get the Sig.

    Sig Kilo 10K Archery Mode

Archery mode works the same between the two. You give it your arrow speed and it gives you the yardage cuts. With firearms it has AB elite so you set up your profile with some more info then on the 5K and off you go. The display on the 10K is pretty unreal if you havent seen it before.

    Ultraview UV3 vs UV3XL

The standard uv3 is going to give you more distance out of your slider before you get fletching contact. The xl gives you more “FOV” through the sight. I can’t think of many other pros/cons.

Idaho Fish and Game Website problems

Its pretty crazy that less than 5 years ago we used to buy our tags at Albertsons the night before the hunt. This website is complete bullshit but my guess is nothing will change because Idaho still sells out of all of their nonres general tags.

    PSE Omen

Shimming the cams on these bows is way more of a pain than yoke tuning them so I am not sure why he would start there. Not sure what rest you are running but if its a fall away you should also have them pay attention to the timing of that to stay away from fletching contact. These are super...
