    Did your Christensen Arms group?

I bought a 6.5 PRC Ridgeline used from a trusted friend who needed the money. It has been flawless with the 143 Hornady ELDX. Sub MOA and has killed several Whitetails, Coyotes and one Bobcat. Guess it is like my Leupold scopes, I got a good one!

    Bore brushes?

According to many on this forum you should never clean the bore of your rifle. I do clean mine periodically but not much brushing. Bore jags (cotton patches) with Hoppes # 9 followed by CR10 copper cleaner and finish with another pass of Hoppes, also with a jag. I only brush when there is...

    Tikka T3x lite bullets .308

My grandson shoots the Remington Core Lokt 150 grain on Whitetails. They shoot MOA and have performed well.

This but I have the rifle on my front side. If on my back, the butt would hit and jar on the rack of the four wheeler.

Bullet Advice for .300 Win Mag in Browning X-Bolt Speed

I have the exact rifle. I’ve been shooting the factory loaded Barnes TTSX 165 grain at 3,160 fps. They group <1” MOA and are heck on Whitetails. I wouldn’t change if hunting Elk.

6.5 PRC Sporter Style Hunting Rifle no Can or Brake?

Recoil is not a problem with the 6.5 PRC for me. Mine is a CA Ridgeline and has a brake that I do not use. Mainly because of the noise.

Raffle Winning Choice: Sig Cross or CA FFT

I have no experience with the Sig but do own a Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC. I’ve had it three years. One of the most accurate rifles I own. I’ve had no problems with it. Below is a group of three I shot last week.

    3 Tikkas with different accuracy...thoughts?

Try different ammunition and different weights. I have always been a Barnes TTSX fan as I have rifles that shoot them well. I purchased a Tikka T3x in .308 that will not group the 168 grain Barnes. Tried the 150 grain Corelokts and they are sub MOA. Also purchased a Tikka T3x in .223 that would...

Current State Of Your Gear/Gun Room?

All guns in safe along with binoculars and rangefinders. All ammunition in locked storage cabinet separate from guns. Other equipment scattered but I know where everything is. All hunting clothing in one walk in closet that belonged to my grown daughter. Everything I own has a place and it goes...

The greatest cheap gun you've ever owned?

Browning A-Bolt II in .308. Black plastic stock and blue. I was without a deer rifle years ago and called a buddy that owned a pawn Shop. He brought this rifle to me that afternoon. One of the most accurate rifles I have ever owned. I sold it a few years later and was sick after I did. I ended...

    What’s your go to?

Rotation of : Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC shooting Hornady 143 ELDs or Tikka T3 Super Lite in 7RM shooting Barnes TSX 160s Very confident in both but if it had to be one or the other it would be the Tikka

What Whitetail woods will 2024 take you to?

NE Mississippi will be it this year. No trips. I mostly watch deer and scout for the grands. Been getting ground ready to plant food plots next month. I’ll be looking for a chance of rain and then put seed in the ground. Good Luck to all!

Another bino thread- is this deal too good to pass up?…or are the Mavens better?

That’s a good price on the Trinovids. I have no experience with the HD’s but have a 25 year old set that is still my primary binoculars. I gave more than $675 then!,

    Christensen ridgeline upgrades?

I purchased a Ridgeline 6.5 PRC used a couple of years ago. The original owner had replaced the trigger with a Timney Calvin Elite. It breaks perfectly at 1.5 lbs. A little light for a hunting rifle but I like it. He also gave me the original Trigger Tech that was in it. It groups the Hornady...

    .300 win mag ammo.

My rifle shoots the Barnes factory loaded TTSX 165 grain very accurately. It is a Browning HCS.

New to 7mm Rem Mag & western whitetail

My mistake. The factory load in the Barnes is the TSX, not the TTSX.
