My son and I are going out in August for 5 days and am looking for a couple over night hikes to do. Nothing too crazy( we're flatlanders) but good vistas. I have done a lot of backpacking ,he has not but is 17 and in great shape. Gear is not an issue. I've hunted quite a bit out there but...
Thought I would post my little project . Have a mystery ranch Terraframe 80 that I love but don't love the frame. Grabbed a Kifaru duplex lite frame and got it fitted with some adapter buckles I got from Amazon. Overall it worked but I could not get the load lifter straps attached high enough on...
Like the title says, rifle has been on a few trips and has a few small scratches on stock but otherwise great. Shoots 165 Hornady Interbonds around MOA ( only load I worked up since I had it)

We've hunted together in idaho a few times but this will be his...
Spent a week there with two friends. Accommodations were excellent, food was fantastic. Our guides were very very knowledgeable and helpful. Now for the important stuff, I caught close to 100 walleye a day averaging 20" with at least 100 between 25-28". Jigged for all of them, no trolling. Pike...
Got invited to hunt with a group there, otc second season. My only real question is how was the hunting pressure? I stopped hunting SW Colorado a few years back because it had gotten so crowded.
There's some other reasons I'm leaning in this direction that aren't important to the discussion...
Saw this thread on another forum and was surprised by the replies. Wondered what the crowd around here is more likely to do.
I've been reloading my own ammo for 15 years. I shoot a lot of oddballs so it's out of necessity but also because I just like making my own .
