    Have you heard from Howa that they're apparently working on factory bottom metal? I first heard the rumor on here, and they confirmed that in an email. Might be worth looking into before you get too deep (although I'm sure they will screw theirs up somehow...)

    I can get maybe 2.650" at the most for the length from base to the 0.500" measurement, but mine is no more than that.

    My BCA reaches 0.500" diameter at 2.6" from the rear of the ramp.

    Can't wait for the 6x45! Other question: what is the consensus on whether the BCA bolt action is suitable for bolt gun level ARC loads?

    You might check on the eye relief/height of the 3x. I find that if you use the mount to move it close enough to your eye, that it sits too high off the gun, unless you're using an AR...

    Love the ULUL barrel idea (6x45, 6 ARC especially, 20" length ideally) as well as specialty ULUL parts (bolt action uppers, carbon buffer tubes/stock/forends). I'd also love a stainless Howa Mini, with bottom metal, in 223, or 6 ARC... Just some thoughts. Thanks!

    Just a thought - but could a person mill out the extra space for the bolt handle to rotate closed, and use a stripped (much lighter weight) upper with the BCA bolt?

    True TMK Minimum Velocity Threshold

    I know 1800 is the accepted cutoff, but I've also seen Form mention that this bullet can potentially perform much lower. I've seen the elk kills at 1400 fps impact and they look convincing. Anyone test the lower limits of this, for reliable expansion? 1200? 1000? Educate me!

    I can't find any info on calibers/twist rates/barrel lengths, and have emailed the company but no response. Anyone else see anything? Also interested in seeing if their suppressors can be used on other rifles, but looks like it would have to be with some sort of special back plate to cut off...

    This thing seems pretty great, if it all works out - maybe a big ask. Ultralight, caliber swappable, chassis rifle WITH lightweight suppressor and scope for $2k? Surprised there isn't more fuss over it.
