Binos comparable to Swaro SLCs
Meostars are really close to the SLCs with my eyes. Kowa Genesis 10.5s are a bit better than the SLCs, in my opinion. -

If recoil is an issue with accuracy for you at all, I'd go with the 6.5. -

One item you wish you carried sooner?
I like to keep a few extra nitrile gloves in a ziplock bag with my tp or wet wipes and use them for my wiping hand when backcountry #2s happen, nothing worse than having crap on your hand and nowhere to wash it. -

I just returned from a Coues deer hunt where we put my Maven 18x56 on a tripod next to SLC 15s. You could definitely see a difference in edge clarity, the Swaros were just better overall. For me, I can live with the differences for the money saved. We also put 10x42 els next to my Meopta... -

Love my PRC S20 Hunter too, shoots everything at .5 moa or below, love the thumbhole stock. Just bought the 6.5 CM on closeout for my boys to use, couldn't pass it up at $1099. Wish they made it in 6 CM and 7 PRC. -

25-06 and Elk
Get a 25-06 or similar speed bullet and try it. That's my recollection, but it's been a few years, it was perhaps a bit thinner than 2 inches, but not much maybe 1.5. The hole certainly narrowed from one side to the other, but it penetrated all the way through the gong. At the end of the day...
