    Why no 123gr 6.5CM factory offerings ?

I would bet it is because the whole point of the 6.5 Creedmoor was to be able to shoot heavy bullets in a factory rifle with factory ammo.

    NF SHV 4-14x50 f1 vs SWFA 3-15x42 gen 2

While I didn't have a Gen2, I did have two of the SWFA 3-15 and two NF SHV 4-14 F1 (MIL). I ended up selling off both of the SWFA scopes. Not because they didn't work, or were not reliable. They are bomb-proof, or at least HandgunHTR-proof, which is essentially the same due to the stupid crap...

    Pratice/technique

What tripod are you using? This could play into why it is hard for you, which is why I am asking.

    Shooting glasses

These are affordable and work well, especially if you wear muffs: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1027559976?pid=696012 If you want to spend a bit more, I recommend these: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2383126268?pid=954031 These also come with their own bag.

    Suppressor purchase from Silencer Central

They absolutely do. I know because I just bought my last one from them. Here is a direct copy/paste from the email I got from them when my Form 4 was approved. I have highlighted the pertinent part. First, log in to your account to complete the digital ATF Form 4473. Once you are within...

    Federal New Cartridge

Just watched the video. Flaring the case is similar to what you have to do with a straight-walled case. The other "step" that they neglected to mention was that you are going to have to crimp that flare back out, either while seating or with some sort of "factory crimp die". That being said...

    Suppressor causing chamber condensation

Are you required to use chamber flags when not shooting? If so I recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/MagnetoSpeed-RifleKuhl-Barrel-Cooler-Red/dp/B07TLF4KKY Will cool you down and act as a chamber flag.

Group Buy: Tikka Prefit 22 Creedmoor

The only thing I didn't vote on was the twist as I would prefer 1:7.5 or 1:8 as the 1:7 has a tendency to overspin the 77-80 grain bullets.

    Suppressor purchase from Silencer Central

Dave, he literally posted the law in post #23. You are conflating two different things. For a non-over-the-counter purchase of a suppressor, the CLEO needs to be notified twice. The first one, notification of the Form 4, can take place at any time, and is done by everyone once the Form 4 is...

    Dry Firing Rifle

And the T3 that I bought back in 2004 has been dry fired thousands of times without issue.

    Tikka barrel swap

The relief cut needs to be much closer to the receiver for it to be effective. It should also go around the entire circumference of the barrel (or most of the way around). Also, what action wrench are you using? If it is external, where are you mounting it and how tight are you tightening it...

Looking to get a factory what should I get

Is there a reason why a heavy barrel is a must? https://www.eurooptic.com/Tikka-T3x-RoughTech-Superlite-65-PRC-24-1-8-Bbl-Roughtech-Ember-Tungsten-4rd-Rif.aspx

    Another "First Suppressor" Thread

I cast my vote for the Omega, but if you asked me directly, I would tell you to buy a Nomad 30. Great suppression, good balance of weight, and no barrel restrictions. If you budget was higher, I would recommend the Nomad XC

    RE: Velvet Antlers

The only reason not to shoot a velvet buck is that it costs almost twice as much to get the taxidermy done on it. :) Also with Axis deer, they don't follow the same pattern as WT in that some will be in velvet while the others are hard-antlered. Here is my velvet Axis from the last time I...

    Thoughts on one rifle?

Yeah, I have thought about one gun. One gun for that deer, one gun for that deer, one gun for that elk, etc.

    6CM vs 7-08

Actually, it isn’t that hard at all, as @IChaseCoues demonstrated above. There will be a bit more recoil with a 7-08 shooting 162s, but not enough to be unmanageable.

    6CM vs 7-08

    Yes

    Suppressor purchase from Silencer Central

@5811 answered the question. As you can see it has nothing to do with 41F. It is a separate requirement when doing a non-over-the-counter firearms transfer.

    Deer cartridges with minimal recoil

I know you asked @83cj-7 , but I will provide my answer. 24.5 grains of AR-Comp and an 80 grain Sierra SSP bullet in my 6X45 killed a pile of deer during a depredation hunt a few years back. I think it was 23 over a 3-day weekend. Shots were from 15 to 320 yards.

Is There Ever a Time to Hunt with Magnum Calibers?

First off, if you are so jumpy that you are in danger of shooting yourself, you should probably work on that. Second, there isn't a bullet in the world that doesn't deflect when hitting branches or other obstacles in flight. Your "bigger, harder, faster" bullet isn't magic. Also, if you don't...
