Am I overthinking wind drift and broadheads for open country Mule Deer

When I hunt open country I run a back bar and a longer front bar with way more weight to just add mass to the bottom of the bow. Out of a tree when I know 99% of my shots will be sub 50, I just run a front bar for this exact reason. I shoot outside at 90+ yards all summer to just get used to the...

    Sevr BH and Elk

That will work, I also found a tiny dab of string wax helped a ton

    Sevr BH and Elk

Sevrs make a bunch of noise in the quiver. They rattle good and it hurts my soul to hear that quiver rattle if I shoot with it on.

    Sevr BH and Elk

That's been my experience as well. I want more blood on the ground always.

    Sevr BH and Elk

Crazy result on a doe. If they made a curved blade I think the penetration would be better no doubt. I've never not got 2 holes with a sevr but I've heard of it before. I think the 1.5 honestly leaves an almost unnoticeable difference in hole size with the 2.0. Never shot the 1.75 now but that...

    Sevr BH and Elk

Ive had both results with Sevr. Sevr saved my bacon on a bad hit because of the 2 inch cut just barely clipping the heart of my biggest buck ever. He died In 250 yards even after we bumped him. I've shot a lot of animals with sevr and I personally enjoy them. Shot elk with 1.5 and deer, turkeys...

FL Wick or Kuiu Ultra Merino 120

I do love my 145 so much I should really buy another. I wish Kuiu would make the 145 in a plain crew and a short sleeve

FL Wick or Kuiu Ultra Merino 120

Wel crap. I just got a 120 and I love the weight of it but haven't used it hard yet.... hope mine holds up better than thar! I did get it on outlet sale though so if it dies after a season or two, it dies I guess

FL Wick or Kuiu Ultra Merino 120

That's my fault man, lol. I've had the opposite experience with FL but I'm curious as to your experience. Do you find garment to garment variance in your wick pieces?

FL Wick or Kuiu Ultra Merino 120

I know this is an older thread but in my personal experience the 120 125 and 145 from kuiu have all stood up to the test of time. My first lite wick is very comfortable but got a hole the very first time I wore it hunting (it was under a shell but a branch poked a hole right through it in the...

The quest for the right mid weight pants

That's an under rated attribute for turkey season no doubt

The quest for the right mid weight pants

Thank you for the comparison! I appreciate that. The hip vents do seem to be a great idea and the waterproof knees might just be the ticket for saddle hunting for deer early and turkey on damp mornings

The quest for the right mid weight pants

They're the older model flexpedition before they changed the fabric. They're relaxed fit and they are stretchy enough to work on my quads but for some reason both pairs the zippers work down and my junk ends up saying hello to the world... I really like the material of them and the build. I...

The quest for the right mid weight pants

I have a pair of traverse pants that I enjoy, but they are wider in the leg for sure. I'd buy more of them at the price I got my subalpine pair for no doubt. I really should give them more credit for their versatility. They're kind of just a Jack of all trades pant.
