The best place to buy and try releases is archerytalk. I would also suggest a hinge to start. Once you master a hinge you will be able to shoot any thumb release correctly. I'll also second John Dudley as the guy to watch. I'm a fan of Carter thumbs and Scott hinges but Stan makes great ones...
Great advice above. I sold mine 2 yrs ago and don't miss it but I practically gave it away. Keep it as a back up unless totally pressed for the cash. Good luck!
Massachusetts resident here still dealing with the antiquated no Sunday hunting law. I'm also a land owner (dairy farmer) and I have never understood the law or enjoyed it. I literally work 7 days a week, free time to me is extremely precious, and the no hunting on Sunday just adds to the "tree...
I was looking to buy this book used last yr. I never found one but it was suggested by many on here to download/purchase the Elknut app onto my phone. I did and I'm very happy with it. One time fee and it's loaded with tips/tactics to use in the field and also has audio so I can listen to and...
Thanks for the replies so far. I'll put a call into kifaru and get some open ended male buckles purchased, I believe I've got plenty of the open ended females. I hadn't thought of the durability of the new sleeve vs old but seems logical. I've got an older argali that I strap a climber to the...
I'm curious if there are any other benefits to the squadron sleeve being used on the newer bags other than the ability to adjust the load lift angle? Specifically, does this sleeve allow the bag to be separated from the frame easier than before? I'd like to start carrying my stands between bag...
I've got a pair of the muck Arctic pro boots. In my opinion they are not a good late season option for stand hunting here in the Northeast. Very comfortable for a slip on boot but not in cold weather.
Not to completely highjack this thread but will the older knights with the plunger ( mk85) still hang with the newer bolts? Or are the newer ones just that much more accurate?
I agree with Raptor, I'm not sure I see anti 2A in anything Benchmade did. Seems like a good USA company helping out the local police force, kudos to them. I researched the company just recently because I had read the hate and I didn't find anything offensive, so I'm a proud owner of a mini...
3X on the Savage 220!! Remington 3" Accutips. I shot 2 bucks last yr @ 145 yds with that gun. My only complaint with it is getting another round on the chamber. You really have to work it!!
