    Texas school shooting

Have you actually lived in Australia or even visited? It’s pretty sweet in my experience.

    Texas school shooting

^ Yeah they for sure only had handguns and it definitely wasn’t because they were simply total cowards or anything.

    Texas school shooting

Interesting. So what do you think really happened at Sandy Hook and Las Vegas?

    Texas school shooting

Yeah, the witnesses are probably all just making it up or something.

    Texas school shooting

The widespread reporting that police stood around for about an hour stopping parents from helping their children as they were being slaughtered: Just look up “Uvalde police stopped parents” or something similar; it’s pretty easy. :) https://www.google.com/search?q=uvalde+police+stopped+parents

    Texas school shooting

@browning2480 Why take my word for it? You can very easily look it up and see for yourself.

    Texas school shooting

Yeah, let’s not rush to conclusions based on an on-the-scene video of what was actually happening or anything.

    Texas school shooting

Nope. Quite the opposite, in fact.

    Texas school shooting

I guess it’s technically not entirely true. Rather than doing nothing, they did bravely tackle parents urging them to intervene while the massacre was happening.

    Texas school shooting

Six armed cops stood around the whole time and did nothing to stop it.

Tikka T3x 300 Win Scope Mounting options

@ResearchinStuff For sure. If you have a rail, use the rail.

    Leupold VX-3 HD

Nothing wrong with VX-3HDs. The only thing I'd note is that you're likely to have more use for the wide than the tele setting of the scope on big game, and the minimum magnification may feel a bit limited. The 4.5-14 is probably fine, but it could be worth also considering the 3.5-10X or...

Scope for Tikka 300WSM Superlite that can be mounted fairly low and best mounts for the job

@philos If you're OK with receiver-top mounting, Talley extra-lows get you closer to the bore than any others that I'm aware of; their claimed height is only 0.410" / 10.5 mm, plus they're good-quality and not too expensive. But SM will get you plenty low too: photo credit...

Scope for Tikka 300WSM Superlite that can be mounted fairly low and best mounts for the job

@DLIP Hawkins rings are awesome, but I don't think they offer anything in 1" diameter, plus their Tikka rings screw into the receiver top instead of using the integral dovetail.

If you could only have 1 rimfire rifle

I've never had a problem getting all sorts of subsonic ammo to run reliably in my 10/22. If yours is failing to cycle, you can simply swap out the recoil spring assembly to a lighter one. For me, 22s are about fun, so the 10/22 would be my one-rimfire choice because of how unlimited the...

Scope for Tikka 300WSM Superlite that can be mounted fairly low and best mounts for the job

Not too heavy, either. This is the 30-mm high-mount set; the lower ones are probably under 100 grams. I’ve been very happy with them. Can’t imagine a more reliable way to mount a scope to a Tikka receiver. Edit: The medium-height 1" rings for Tikka (TO48C) have a claimed weight of 102 g, and...

Decisions… The solution is probably to get one rifle for each scope.

@bmanb940 Great to hear; thanks for the reply. It seems like it was worth all that effort, because that's a really good-looking and sharp-shooting rifle. A quality laminated stock is a thing of beauty, and yours really demonstrates it. Meanwhile, I still have some playing around to do with...

Just a few thoughts on the Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x33 EFR, which is another adjustable-parallax option around this price range. The glass doesn't suck, and the FoV is the same as the Meopta 2-10's, which is surprising considering how slim the ocular bell is. This gives a near-frameless image...

For sure. Yeah, I checked around a lot before deciding on the O5 2-10X; it just has that nice Euro-optic look and feel where they didn't cheap out on the components. Funny that you mention using it on a pig rig; that was first use I thought of when I handled it, since it would give such a...
