I bought this spotting scope a couple years ago. I admittedly do not know much about it. It’s an older model extendable scope. It’s a 20-60 power CT85. I’m happy to do my best at answering questions, but like I said I don’t much about it. I’m not a big fan of spotting scopes so I carried this a...
I bought this cheap Stanley pot one year and it became a staple in camp. The plastic tab for the lid melted off but a metal paper clip serves the same purpose. Toss the two green cups it comes with and add a 450ml titanium snow rock cup and it fits like a glove. We take this pot and abuse it...
Yep, I can do that. I won’t be home until late tomorrow night and I’ll try and get the picture. If I don’t have time tomorrow night, I’ll have it Monday for you. I get I have a low forum count and iff there is any concern for reliability I’m happy to show the buyer/seller feedback off other...
I have one and don’t really care for it. I thought I would use it more, but found I prefer a tarp over the firewood and besides firewood I keep everything else in the tent. I do love the alaknak. I’ve probably spent 200 nights or so in it and have only used that vestibule for a couple of trips.
Sako Finnlight in 7.08. I’ve owned this rifle for a while and never really shot it much. Under 100 rounds through it. The stock developed the classic sticky stock they were prone to. I did my best to scrape it off a couple years ago so there are some superficial scratches on it. Rings are...
If I’m reading this correctly, you’re trying to keep your food at 1 pound per day? That’s pretty tough to do for 10 days of hunting. If you packed food that was 100 calories an ounce (not including weight of the packaging) you would only be bringing 1600 calories a day for the 1 pound. It’s one...
Took just 15X56 binos the first year I did the high hunt. Last year took a lightweight spotting scope as well. I’ll be leaving the spotting scope at home this year.
How comfortable is the SSS as a pillow? Would you be willing to sleep on it for 8 nights? Looking for a lightweight rear bag to bring with next fall. Don’t really want the extra weight, but if it’s comfortable enough I can ditch my pillow it may be worth it.
