SHTF ....I'll grab the 556 AK. It will run far longer than any AR I have including my SBR and I can use all the AR dudes mags and ammo. Anything short of end of the work kinda event, I prefer AR platforms
I totally agree that theyll tie everything up in court but if/when they approve managment, How do you manage wolves anyway? Seariously, Hunting doesnt work for crap, trapping seems to do ok but still doesnt fill quotas from what I've read. Not that we can snare in CO anyway and your most likely...
I don't understand constantly loading and unloading sidearms. Mine is loaded, one in the pipe and with in easy reach. Holster, no holster just depends on the situation .
You cant say your trigger is "clean" if you didnt completely disassemble it. What the outside of the housing looks like doesnt mean a thing. 12 years of use... Trigger never disassembled... I'll stick to my original diagnosis of the issue.
Probably be better off just taking it to a local Smith...
I hear ya. I just look at it as an hour or maybe two of jumping hoops and then they call me in 6-12 months to pick it up. It wasn't much quicker a process before they got popular.
On the other hand, They haven't raised the stamp cost with inflation and/or the devaluation of the US dollar over...

It doesn't take much to bind a trigger up. A bit of dirty lube is all it takes to prevent the sear from resetting sometimes (slam fire). In my experience, its the most common cause of hang fires and slam fires in rifles I've worked on. Takes a lot to make a firing pin hang up in a bolt. Stock...
I've thought about getting beetles many times but never have. Skulls taxidermy sells them too. Everyone I know that has had beetles in the past no longer has them. Most lost their colonies to invasive insects, some to temp issues. Takes time to build a productive colony. Cant just buy a kit...
Everyone is different. I've seen little women that are fine shooting medium bores off the bench or prone with out a break and big burly men that cant handle 5 rounds of 30-06 or 300win with a break with out getting twitchy and every thing in between.
Screw what anyone thinks about what you...
Get a rifle your comfortable shooting. You can suppress it or get a break or a recoil pad but end of the day you'd most likely be better off just getting something your comfortable shooting. We all have different threshold and sure you can train/teach yourself to deal with it but life is to...
