Also in Texas, I’ve been running the first light Chama for 6 or 7 years now. It’s been super versatile and wear it anytime I’m hunting from September dove and all through winter as a base layer.
My 6um is together-ish! Opened up the factory stock to accommodate the barrel since it will be a while for the Rokstok. It still needs a little more work but it’s close to being free floated. Also waiting on dies and brass. Depending on when that comes together it will get topped with my...
In my rifle set up. I had to put down my Tikka 300wsm the last couple years after developing a flinch. Last year I topped my Ruger American 6.5 creed with a Nightforce SHV 4-14 sitting in a pair of Warne rings. That set up rode in the bed of my truck for ~ 700 miles, all over the farm in the...
Finally picked up my Scythe this week and am currently at the range with it on my Ruger American in 6.5. Had a 2moa poi shift straight upward. This is my first suppressor and I’m really surprised by how much it really quiets it down. Recoil is slightly more than with the APA brake I had on it...
The wait begins! Went ahead and put in an order for a Rostock and an ace prefit. Ended up doing an 18” 8 twist #3 contour.
Has anyone used H4831 in the 6um? I know it’s going to be too fast but I plan on using it at least for my fire form loads, curious what kind of velocity to expect with it.
I’ve slept a few nights on the ether light xt extreme. I paired it with an el coyote 10* quilt and was comfortable into the low teens last year. It’s much more comfortable for side sleeping than my thermarest was. Haven’t used it enough yet to experience any durability issues.
After debating for the last year I finally caved and ordered dies and brass today. Gonna buy a UM tikka prefit and Rostock when funds allow. Have a Scythe Ti in jail. Hoping to get everything put together around December/January and might get to try it out on some hogs and whitetail before the...
My wife and I each have C2’s. My only regret is not getting them with the slides already cut for a red dot. It is easily the smoothest shooting pistol I’ve ever handled.
Mine did to!
I’ve been drinking mimosas this morning, won’t be too much longer and I’ll crack open the knob creek.
Yeah I don’t want any part of that. I think we hit -1 a few years ago and that was cold enough for me.
