You might try reading the book by Eugen Herrigel: Zen in the art of archery. My experience is pretty much the same as @bsnedeker ... little application in our form of archery other than the mental discipline laid out in the book. I did find that helpful. -
what's your experience with the UV3 XL?
UV has great customer service - I'm confident they will take care of the fiber problem. The o-ring issue is another problem. I've never seen a UV3XL with a white o-ring and I have installed a few dozen of them. THe UV3 has it though. I had an XL for a while but sold it for a UV3...not sure that... -

Ya, the new Stan hinge just underwhelms compared to the Morex line-up. I did get to handle a stainless UV2 yesterday and liked it. Not sure it will replace my Scott Ascent though...$299 is a hefty tag... -
What do you use for a bow holder?
The bow hitch does not flop at all. You simply hook it to the strap, put your hand on the handle and walk, hike, whatever. Ive hiked some extremely rough terrain with it (Gila Wilderness) and the bow just rode by my side. You can adjust the length so its most comfortable for you. Glass with... -
