We just got back from caribou hunt in alaska. We fit two caribou in two 120 qt coleman xtremes with capes. It was tight. So obviously 120qt each. This was while transporting it around alaska. It was over the 100lb limit for a checked bag on Alaska Airlines. You will probably have to donate a...
I really think they are. I didn’t use them for years but now that i have them i will almost always use them. Wouldn’t go as far to say they are a must have. There are others items you should buy first if you are on a budget.
I'm looking for a Monte Carlo stock for tikka t3x lite. not really wanting adjustable cheek piece. really want something like whats on Christensen rogue. anything out there? I've checked stockys and didn't see anything. also any spiral fluted bolts?
Very nice! I weighed all my gear last night for caribou hunt. Im at 41lbs without putting anything in my pockets. That doesn’t include rifle or binos. I should be close to 38lbs by sticking a few things in my pockets. Never would of thought id be looking for a few luxury items to add.
Thanks! I could of swore they told me that it didn’t count but was packing my gear and looking on net and read somewhere that it did count so i started to panic a little!! Sent them an email to confirm but im sure it will be tomorrow until they got back with me and wanted to be able to sleep...

Doing that hunt in a month. 50lbs sounds hard to do at first but after to start figuring out what you really need and stuffing small heavy items in your pockets, its very doable.
We will be going with them in less than a month for the second time. First time was moose, this time caribou. We are staying under the 50lb limit and not getting a gear load. Two of us. We will be using sawtooth. At first i thought the 50lb limit would be tough but after getting all the gear we...
This is really good to hear. Just got my Marshall last week and cant wait to use it this fall. Would of probably went with the Metcalf but it was sold out in my size in multicam. I heard next year MR will be offering bag only options so can swap out when need be.
