When flying with Alaska airlines, has anyone ever had them lose luggage with a gun in it?
Ive flown with a gun several times and have never had my gun be lost or not on time. Seems like they take extra precautions with them obviously.
However i have heard of people not having their bows or...
I shoot a 50lb recurve with 575 finished arrow. 150 4 blade magnus stingers. Ive had complete pass through on all deer except 1 where i hit opposite shoulder.
Id just look for a broadhead that you can sharpen easily.
Perfect arrow flight and sharp broadheads are what really more than...
I was kinda wondering that by the look of the pictures. Ive never been around one so I appreciate your feedback on them. Ive actually been looking at the flambeua bazuka pro rod holder. I think it will do the job!! Thanks
I understand trust me. I actually bought a pma for that reason. However i have a one piece ptf that was the first real recurve i ever had and killed several deer with it. If i get a chance to kill a moose it would be pretty cool to do it with that one.
Whenever i would take a rifle on an airplane i would put my gun in a soft case and then put it inside a golf club case and pack cloths and other soft gear in around it. Figure this way im not paying a checked bag fee for rifle only.
Im thinking about this same concept with a one piece but...
No they do not! Thats why i have been checking into this. Last moose i killed they weighed the meat and were going to fly into the kill site to verify all meat was taken. Luckily i had taken pictures of the carcass after finishing and they said it looked good. Had me shittin my pants for a bit...
Thank you. I had not seen this definition before. This clears things up a bit more. The definition on the website and in pamphlet just says 50lbs at peak weight.
Yeah i think its a little different with a recurve. If you know your getting checked and your close on weight then your gonna be drawing it back until the broadhead digs into the riser.
I was reading through the regs for moose hunting in alaska and seen that you have to have a bow weight of 50lbs for big game. I recently bought a black widow that id like to take but there is question if i legally can or not. This got me thinking so i called both the fish and game and wildlife...
I will be taking a black widow 62” pma 53lbs @ 28”. 580 grn fmj’s. Magnus stinger 150’s.
If you are asking this question because you are considering buying a trad bow, make sure you get one that is 50lbs if you plan to hunt moose in alaska.
Im now shooting 580grn fmj’s. 50grn insert and 150grn head. Around 17-18% foc.
I went with the fmj because it was the only way i could get close to 600grn without being over 20% foc.
For me, when i get over 20% foc, i get a nock high that i cant get rid of. Some ppl never have problems, or...
I just switched to them but havnt killed anything with them yet. I wanted to build a 600 grain arrow in a 5mm shaft with out having a crazy high foc. Fmj’s are the heaviest 5mm i could find.
Looking for a reputable bear outfitter in Ontario. Not concerned about size. Just looking for a good reliable hunt, good fishing would be a bonus.
Have heard stories that several outfitters prioritize fishing and just throw out some bait a day before hunters arrive. I look at reviews of...
well said,
Im pretty much on board with how you break it down.
Yep anyone that changes how Or what they shoot because of what someone else thinks is in it for the wrong reasons.
Says the guy with deer picture taken 2” away from his nose. Besides, you dont have to do too much camera work to make a moose look big.
I for seen this thread going several directions. I knew there would be guys saying handmade only. Thats cool. I knew there would be guys say aluminum risers are...
