Take her to your bow shop and let her pick it out. Everyone makes a bow suitable for ladies nowadays. My GF is not a hunter, but she bought a recurve this year and shoots it a lot. I wouldn't have chosen that bow for her but she loves it.
Hunt when you can. Antelope move a lot. What 's the worst thing that can happen? You hunt antelope in Wyoming, whether you get one or not. Wyoming is a special place...every minute I spend there is a gift.
Used Nikon 13x30 HD is about half your budget. I got mine for $400, in perfect shape. You could be pretty happy with that one, and it's a lot more packable than most.
The pronghorn with the 5" of penetration was shot at a measured 275. So, the new ammo is the 90 gr GMX, but I've given that rifle to my son for Texas whitetails. I don't know what I'll replace it with but it won't be shooting the ELDX, much as I love the other Hornady bullets I have tried...
Hornady makes a lot of good stuff. That being said, I'm shot 4x at animals with the 103 gr ELDX 6mm bullets.
2 created bullet trails like a partition. one blew up and penetrated less than 5 inches. Another hit a pronghorn at 100 yds in the rib cage, but the animal dropped, got up, spun...
I had the same problem years ago with Hanwag. Got the one size longer boot and fixed the problem. IF they barely touch now, they'll drive you nuts under load. Get the 14's.
I don't know, something I found on Ebay relatively cheap. The mini does not use much power unless you are transmitting so the panel easily keeps it at 100%.
the trick in elk hunting is finding the elk. If you're hunting a private ranch where they go to escape the hordes, almost any rifle is fine. If you're hunting the public ground, you'll carry your rifle a lot more than you'll shoot it. Something like the Tikka or the Savage Lightweight...
Lathrop and Sons are an offshoot from a podiatrist's office. By all means, speak to them and get this fixed. You won't care about the cost of another pair of boots compared to foot pain hunting.
I have a LH 270 Weatherby MkV. Built in 72, ridiculously accurate. Since I've killed about 14 elk from 315-519 yds with a 270 Winchester, I wouldn't worry about the cartridge. For me it would be 270/300 or 7mm Wby in that order. But it depends upon what you want. Any of your options would...
Partition, accubond, GMX,
There is value to controlled expansion bullets to minimize meat damage. I've killed a lot of game with a 270, from grouse to elk. Great caliber with good bullets.
