I've shot 3 over the years that I got 100-105 lbs of meat off of, in fact that's my goal every year, a big, fat buck that'll get me 100+ lbs of meat, I'm not really concerned about the antlers but bucks that heavy tend to have some nice antlers.
My buddy made me this out of an old bed frame rail, I strap this to my backpack and it’s light enough that I don’t even know it’s there until I need it. 6.9 oz, 4 1/2” blade, 9 1/2” oal.
Last week elk hunting I found a stump full of fat wood, cut some up and had a fire later that day
Why support someone like that when there are so many other great companies that actually support the 2A? Makes no sense to me but to each their own, I just wanted to make sure people knew that before spending their cash with an anti.
You guys do know that the owner, Davey Hughes, pushed for the semi-auto ban after the Christchurch shooting? I bought a Hood before that and it’s been good but I refuse to support an anti so I will not be buying any more...
5x5 bull I packed out solo in 2 trips, front and rear on my back and a front and rear on the sled I’m pulling, went back in put the scraps and rack on my back for the second load out.
Have you seen the six moons gatewood cape? Ponchos are kinda heavy to carry for just in case, I just weighed mine and it’s 24 oz, I weighed the gatewood, it’s 12 oz. and an actual shelter on top of being a poncho...
Historical weather doesn’t mean much when it snowing, -10 and ripping wind. Take a warmer bag then you’ll think you’ll need with at least a 5r rated pad. I shot a bull a couple years ago during 2nd rifle, a foot of snow, temp was zero at 1 pm and the wind was 30+ mph, there was a recorded gust...
Is your 21 elk number from the link I provided earlier that is nearly 20 years old? If not please provide where you got that information.
I included the cattle and sheep because it is more proof that they kill for the sake of killing and they’re not the cleanup crew like most say, also it is...
The real question is how many do they kill a year? What they eat is irrelevant if they thrill kill 2 or 3 or 10 times that amount. 19 cattle killed and not eaten, a dozen elk killed and not eaten, 19 elk killed and not eaten, 140+ sheep ran off a cliff and not eaten and this is just the known...
@JustSomeGuy35 I almost didn't include the Idaho link because it is so old and likely rather irrelevant, and one would think outdated but what I found most interesting are the numbers below. Elk took the brunt of it with the calves getting hit the hardest. I would like to see number from a new...
