I've hunted with a black bow a lot and it's never hurt me...Think about it, when your holding the bow out in front of you the front profile is what, 2"-3" wide or so???
Look at the woods sometime, you'll see plenty of black shadows....Black bows aren't an issue as long as they are not shiny.
I've had both in the past year, current sight has the Rhino pins in it...Biggest thing is on the Rhino pins the fiber is inclosed inside the pin instead of running along the back side of it. Are they really stronger, ehh, maybe a little but not a lot...Are they brighter, nope. Crappy part is...
I don't see the need other than maybe the Halo type cord on the Hamskea...It will fuzz a little after a lot of shots it seems like.
As far as stretch goes on the regular d-loop style cords....Pre Stretch them before you install them, it makes a difference. I've done it a few ways, tied the cord...
Issue with the build process and not the material, not enough prestretch or not enough tension...I've shot 8190 since it came out and never had any issue after the first few shots.
Hamskea tool is the way to go...as far as doing it on a Hooter Shooter, I don't really agree with that because the Hooter can not simulate the way you grip the bow and the torque you induce into the grip.
I'm not a fan of the "wingspan" method either...There are other ways to measure it that are a little more accurate.
One thing to remember is not all draw lengths are created equal...Just because a bow is set to say 30" doesn't mean that's really what it's drawing...Most run a little long, some...
The issues with a biscuits is the extreme vane contact you get....as far as the torque part with the WB, it stays in contact with the arrow the whole time and if your jerking or torquing it really shows up when the vanes and pulling through the rest...A limb driven supports the arrow longer than...
My buddy said he was gonna try to pick up some at Vegas, I told him to be sure to grab me one....he's a dealer so hopefully they bring him a few extras to the tournament.
I've got the Rhino pins on my Tek Hunter...I don't know that they are a ton stronger, the fiber is better protected because it threads through the inside of the pin. The one thing I do know is that blue fiber in the .010 size pin freakin SUCKS!!! I'm running 3 .019 pins and my 4th is a .010 and...
