Mouflon taste pretty good. I personally prefer the axis over them but its not far off in my opinion. Hold out for a mature ram or just shoot ewes. This is the first time in a while we have been able to hunt rams so there will be some decent ones walking around.
Im right there with you. I am going with Luke this August on my first ever guided hunt and when I book I never even thought about a tip on top of the hunt price. I like your idea of $100/150 a day. Like you, I wish I could afford more but that is pretty unrealistic.
I did not meet a David. Maybe he is the ranch hand....? I know that they are in the middle of mule deer season. Did you give him your info? I am sure Roy will contact you. You can't go wrong with these guys, it won't be a tough hunt, but it will be awesome!
I cant recommend Roy Hurley with H.E. Sproul Ranch in Fort Davis Texas enough. Roy and his son Hunter are great people and they run a top notch outfit. The only thing I would recommend if you went with them is pay the extra trophy fee and take two sheep. Unless you are going to be super picky...
I was able to take my 11 year old on his first hunts this year. The kid harvested five deer this year three Axis on Lanai and two Whitetails in Missouri. The most impressive thing about him is how calm and collected he is before, during, and after the shot. I'm pretty sure he keeps it together...
