Firearm nihilism - does everything actually just suck?

Is there really anything that a guy can’t do with a Tikka action, a barrel vice, and at most two barrels? I mean, really? Let’s be real. Finding the perfect this or that is ultimately just a distraction from our otherwise mundane and boring daily lives. Ask an existential question, get an...

    Glock 19 conundrum

Was curious so I looked into it. Does not look like gen 4 and gen 5 19 internals are compatible according to this source. https://www.recoilweb.com/inside-the-glock-gen-5-129141.html

    Tikka CTR Rail removal

I think you’re most likely right. Personally I just prefer the peace of mind of being able to check all my screws, and it drives me nuts that you can’t check a rail screw for tightness without removing your scope.

    Tikka CTR Rail removal

I’ll go against the grain a bit here and say, if you can remove a point of failure from the rifle, why wouldn’t you? I bought a CTR and took the rail off immediately and run the Sportsmatch rings that clamp directly to the receiver. And yeah, the epoxy that held the rail on probably wasn’t going...

    Appendix carry holster

I’ve run Vedder, Tulster, a bunch of cheapies, and now T1C. I only have experience with the Axis Elite. I’m sold on sidecar holsters. I’m sure other companies make good products but IMO, having two clips with wide spacing is pretty crucial for keeping your gun in place and maintaining grip cant...

    Appendix carry holster

Tier 1 Concealed’s Axis Elite is all I mess with anymore. I’ve had five now. I have one for a p365xl I’d sell you. Not selling because I don’t like the holster, just selling because I switched entirely to Glocks.

T3 Lite vs T3x CTR weight difference

Nice, your math was solid! CTR bottom metal and mag are 10.5 oz and are an easy swap to the lite plastic to save a fair bit of weight, like @sdupontjr was saying in his original post. Brings them pretty close, really.

T3 Lite vs T3x CTR weight difference

My T3x with a 24” 300WM lite barrel weighs 6lb 6oz and with a superlite (fluted) 22” 270 barrel it weighs 6lbs on the nose. Those are the only lites I have at the moment.
