I’ve owned/own quite a few Tikkas and have owned a Mountain Ascent, a number of Montanas, and a Hunter. For me, the Tikka is more of a generalist rifle that happens to be decently light and is easy enough for me to shoot as far as I’m comfortable hunting. The Kimbers I’ve owned have always been...
I have either a stripped 43x or 48 MOS OEM slide and barrel combo I’m considering selling. I have both guns and am thinking about going to an aftermarket slide on one of them. Is anyone on here interested in either of those? Testing the waters a bit so if you are, send me a PM. Both in near...
I‘m certainly not an authority on metals, but given the choice and even where more money is required to get it, I’m always going stainless, preferably with cerakote on top. The Veil is a stainless barrel and action with cerakote on top, and that’s the cream in terms of weather resistance.
@B_Reynolds_AK, did you do some more testing with the 113? Take any animals with it? If so, just curious to hear how it went. Do you have any experience with the DRT bullets in your creedmoor? Thanks in advance.
MSRP is $730, so definitely creeping up. They got some things right, like an 8.5 twist 20” 7mm-08 and a 6 ARC, but then majorly failed with the Monte Carlo stock. Almost cool…
I use ammoseek to find the cheapest price on ammo that I want to shoot, then take my phone into whatever local box store (Scheels, Cabela’s, Sportsman’s) that will price match online prices. Last time I bought Precision Hunter I paid $25 a box at Scheels. Life hack.
Yep. One of the best shooting rifles I’ve ever owned (Sako) had the same issue. I just lived with it but it did annoy me, aesthetically. I almost opened the channel up to match on both sides, but never quite got there with the motivation since it shot so well.
Anyone have an EPS Carry they want to trade for an EPS? Mine is a 6 MOA green dot that has a couple marks on the housing but glass is perfect and no functional issues. Just switching guns (as usual). PM me.
Here’s a 143 ELDX recovered from a quartering away antelope doe this past weekend. Impact velocity ~2050, soft ball entrance breaking multiple ribs and obviously didn’t exit, lodged under front shoulder hide.
