Pictures of Elk Harvested in Colorado Unit 82/86

Responses will probably be few and far between as this isn't facebook or instagram with people looking for attention, and no sane person wants anything to do with encouraging more people to hunt "their" unit.

Will there be an elk season with coronavirus

I've got my plane ticket, put a 50% down payment on llamas, but I'm holding off buying my OTC rifle tag. If CO bans me somehow, I'll get my 50% down payment back and I can reschedule my flight, maybe for next year, airlines are being very generous.....but even if I'm out the airline ticket...

    Sheep feet insoles

I went to my doctor and and got him to write a prescription for custom orthotics, I think it said I had flat feet and need them. Then I bought them with my own money and uploaded the receipt and prescription to my HSA and was reimbursed today....so a little bit of trouble, but HSA paid for it...

Anyone carry trail cams to place during a backpack hunt?

Nah, don't want to bring in the weight, I try to keep the weight on the llamas as low as possible, plus the spots I might put them, if I kill an elk, I'm not going back to retrieve my camera(s), it's too steep, too difficult. Same reason I would never ever bring a hang-on stand either.

    Idaho?

Lies, those elk hanging in the beetle killed pines aren't a single durn point over 340, not a one of them, hardly worth hunting, unless you have low standards.

    Snake in his truck.....

I like to see snakes and I'm always looking, but I have yet to see a rattler in the wild. I couldn't find the snakes in the last 2 pics without blowing up the pics.

How rare are they in 2020?

fixed it again For those that have seen a 380 was that on private or LE units? I’ve never see a B&C deer or elk, but I don’t care, just want a legal bull. 15 years ago while archery hunting OTC, I saw 2 bulls above timberline that I *thought* would be about 350, they dwarfed the other bulls...

    Elk hunt decision

Start looking now for a packer as they can be hard to come by....I've started using llamas as I no longer have a packer, I rent them, they're much lower maintenance than horses.

Worried about theft back at the truck while hunting?

Should be legal to shoot thieves, I've always thought that breaking and entering and stealing should put your life in jeopardy every time you do it.

Aaron Snyder on Joe Rogan podcast

Yeah, I enjoyed, but wished he would've delved into what he did in the military, and how he started with Kifaru and how he's purchasing Kifaru, and how does he not get tired of camping food after spending 200 nights a year camped out, and what are the 12/13 animals he kills a year. Completely...

    holy C$#@ new swaro/outdoorsmans binos

HAHA, yeah, that's way too much for me....I've had the best glass, but sold it and bought leupold mojaves 12x, I don't miss it either, spent the money on something I really needed, no regrets.

    Swarovski 15x around your neck?

I can't imagine carrying 2 sets of binos. I carry 12X leupolds around my neck, using my hiking poles and/or knees to steady them. I don't carry a spotting scope as I'm just trying to identify legal bulls, not analyze their score from 5 miles, and I goto pains to carry minimal gear to keep my...
