It can be, I’ve seen crowded spots and not so crowded spots. If you have no intel and you’re hunting a spot for the 1st time, there’s no telling whether it’ll be crowded or not, although if there’s good access, you’ll have company.

Where I hunt in Southern CO, there are a lot of dead aspen too, I can't camp in my favorite spots due to dead aspen and the only level spots I can find out of direct sun is in the aspens.
Also, I saw a thread here 2 weeks ago citing a study that said that elk avoid deadfall, they had collared...
The 2nd and 3rd rifle tags are over the counter, but you can’t buy multiple tags.....you either hunt 2nd or 3rd, not both.

That was a small grizzly and he was chasing the elk like it was a foregone conclusion that he'd kill it, as if he knew it was weakened somehow, he never hesitated at all.
We can send a man to the moon but can't find a way to catch and harshly punish thieves? It should be understood that stealing more than a candy bar puts your life in jeopardy, but sadly thieves are rarely caught.
Maybe we should all start leaving obvious valuables in the back of our trucks and...
CO has it about right......no one has exactly what they want, but most can live with it, any major changes and there'll be people PO'd, instead of just a little unhappy.

Don't overlook cell service....you may have good cell service and can use that to calm the wife.
I don't know how cell service gets to where I hunt in CO, but it does, so I don't bother with an inreach.
