My kids enjoyed Grants Farm, the zoo, the arch, and the magic house (interactive children’s museum), though they were a bit younger than yours while we were there.
I’ve had a Toro self-propelled for about 5 seasons now. No issues, no leaks, change the oil every spring. My teenage daughter has mowing duty all summer and has no issue starting it.
I’ve casually bought and sold off of here for years, and it’s always been a great experience. It’s not tough to check feedback, posts, and if needed, a video call. My preference, if it’s a more expensive item I typically won’t deal with an FNG. I generally pay F&F, unless the seller requests...
There’s a lot of good tips so far. Ours have camped since they were infants and are now teens. Go with the quick to set, quick to pack dome tent and insulated air mattresses. You don’t want to spend all of your time setting and breaking camp while trying to keep an eye on them. We did keep a...
I don’t know about Ann Arbor, but went to college in MO and lived about 3 years in the STL area. My office was downtown, near the arch but we lived in St Peters to the west. We really enjoyed our time there.
Lots of nice areas west and south of STL proper. MO has lots of great public hunting...
As noted on the homeschool front, there are many options and resources. My kids have been homeschooled since day one and excel academically. We utilize a co-op model where they meet weekly with a campus of about 50 other kids with grade specific tutors utilizing a classical education model. With...
As others have said, not 100% waterproof, but very secure. I have Yakima racks where I can take the bikes along and still have secure storage for other gear and equipment. I won’t have a truck without one.
I normally cut my own, but was pressed for time last year so took my bear to a local processor. 16 lbs yield off of 46 lbs of clean, skinned quarters…. No way I’m tipping.
It depends a bit on the warden and their interpretation. With the number of hunters in some seasons and the idiots I’ve ran into, I don’t try to see how little orange I can get by with. I have a panel on my pack, and full orange on all of my upper layers.
A friend lost two days hunting in CO a couple of years ago. He was checked on the Saturday opener, didn’t have his card, had his license marked and waited until Monday to go into a CPW office to sort it out. Get it verified or carry it.
