If you want a tough, reliable, high-quality headlamp with the option of using regular batteries, (almost) anything from Petzl works with AAAs, and their stuff tends to be as good as it gets for the type of light you’d want for hiking/camping use.

Especially considering some homeschoolers have more intelligence and capability than any mere professional teacher could even aspire to, at least by their own humble estimation.
I don’t have particularly strong feelings for or against the concept of homeschooling, but it appears that at least some children are being forced into it because of motivations that seem frankly paranoid.
Nah, it’s not arrogant in the least for a self-appointed expert to categorically state that they’re smarter and more capable than actual teaching professionals even have the capacity to be.
If anything, it’s a powerful lesson in humility.
I think the detachable Spartan system is great.
Weighs next to nothing (under 150 g for the Javelin Lite), gives a nice controlled bit of flex for preloading, and has the right amount of free travel straight backwards for accuracy. It’s a perfect lightweight hunting bipod in my opinion.
