Spuhr has some insanely nice one-piece mounts for the Tikka integral rail; I have yet to see anything that would offer more secure and reliable solution.
Though personally, I'm still quite satisfied with the Sportsmatch two-piece rail mounts.

Haven’t used it on game since I take a convex-grind Bark River EXT-1 into the field, but it’s way better than any folding knife has a right to be for filleting fish and preparing roast cuts. It does seem to have the handling and geometry of a good skinning knife.
Sharpening and...
Worth mentioning that the Chaparral is pretty great for a smaller EDC knife with blade steel and geometry that can really take and hold a sharp edge, while the Manix 2 LW in Maxamet offers truly unreal edge retention in a larger EDC-able package.
Any results on this? Personally, I find the...
It can go the other way, too. For example, Black Rifle’s whole “ign’ant-and-proud-of-it” schtick is so embarrassing that I’d never buy their coffee even if it wasn’t terrible.
Even companies that actually make products worth having — Spyderco, for example — could do with less bootlicking, too.
Ha, big-time “everyone is stupid except me” mentality, followed by cowering behind performative pseudo-Christianity when people tell him to stop being such an insufferable tool.

About the only thing I wish it had is an illuminated reticle, but the duplex is visible enough that it’s not a must-have. It seems like the money went toward the glass quality instead of cramming every feature in, too.
The Optika6 models do get you an illuminated ret, but at a...
Glad you found it useful!
I wish all my scopes had adjustable parallax after getting used to this one. I preset it to 50 m in the woods and 100 m in more-open terrain, and I don't feel there's any disadvantage compared to fixed-parallax other than a negligible amount of extra weight. Set up...
A Leupold VX-Freedom (3-9X33 AO) and a couple of Zeisses (3-12X56 Victory HT ASV+, 3-12X44 V4) are the others I’ve directly compared it to under the same conditions. It’s not at the low-light performance level of my HT — no other scope really is — but it’s not quite as far away as I expected...
I have the 2-10X PA version and I love it. FoV, clarity, sharpness and light transmission are great. It’s a bit on the heavy side but it’s compact and feels very well-built, with nice positive clicks.
Incredibly good glass for the money.
For sure. The 6.5x55 is a perfected design.
And the 6.5CM is an established cartridge at this point; a new shooter does himself a disservice by dismissing such an huge selection of rifles and ammo out of hand, plus it’s just plain easier to shoot accurately than a .270 or .308 while having...
Another vote for the T3x.
If that ends up being the choice, I'd recommend ordering Sportsmatch rings for direct integral-rail mounting (model TO48C, HT081, T084, or HTO73, depending on the optic); they're about as strong, simple and lightweight as it gets, plus they make it painless to remove...
I stopped using a separate wallet years ago in favour of a phone cover with a simple slot that holds two cards, similar to the one below:
It adds very little bulk while fully protecting the contents from getting bent.
For me, a “tactical wallet” would just be another unnecessary item to keep...
Yep, I use the EEP-100 version and they work great.
Comfort depends a lot on which tips you use; the silicone ones are the most comfortable but the least effective, the smaller foam ones fit fine and block plenty of sound for field use, while the big honking mega-foam ones are less comfortable...
Alcohol tends to be highly underestimated in terms of its addictiveness and capacity to harm.
The Lancet published a study that really puts its risk into perspective compared to other drugs:
