It doesn't sound too bad sitting at home talking about packing elk . At 11,000 feet on a mountain side too steep to believe its another thing entirely. Even if your in great shape the elevation will reduce your physical capacity by a third to half of what you can do where you live . Ask me...
Looking at a cow tag for 66 1st rifle for 2021 . I haven't hunted it in a long time. I have locations and tactics in mind and would like to bounce some ideas off of anyone that that might have experience in 66 . PMs ONLY !
Thanks
Chris
For my way of hunting I like the mono . For stationary longer range hunting I would consider the bipod version. The mono is light and easy to carry , especially when your packing meat ! 👍😁
I've got the original tall monopod trigger stik . That thing rides on the left side of my backpack and goes everywhere I do . Every deer I've shot in western Kansas, (several) has been shot off that stik. Use it for glassing ext., ect ,ect . Love it !
I'll just say this . Kifaru is expensive. USA made products are expensive. Craftsman that do quality work deserve a good wage . Ive had guys tell me there's no way they are paying that " much" for said item , yet at their job they expect to be well paid for what they do .
That's a Gen 1 original Long Hunter frame. The "compression panel" is a cargo chair load shelf .I'm not sure the newer bags will attach to that one . I paid $600.00 bucks for mine back in 2001 !
