    I use a Vortex Summit SS-P. Its a pretty kick ass tripod that isn't super expensive. I had mine for 3 years and had zero issues until I lost it. :( Loved it so much that I got another one.

    As far as durability goes, they are are rock solid. Has some of the thicker blades that I have seen so no worries there. I will say that if you were going with a fixed blade, slick trick standards are pretty hard to beat IMO.

    I agree 100% with this. If you do some research you will get into elk. Plus shouldn't it being difficult make it that much more fun? I also cant find any negatives in less people, bugling bulls, and getting to hunt with a bow.
