I've hunted in rain for days at a time ever since I was a kid. I've had Rockies, Danners, Crispis, Kennetrek, etc... and the only boots that truly hold up 100% in heavy rain are muck boots or rubber boots like Lacrosse, Muck, Irish setter. No matter how much water prevention or treatment you put...
I've had several pairs of Rockies, Danners, Lacrosse, etc... none of them come close to the Kennetrek boots. Hands down the best outdoor hunting/hiking boot I've ever had.
I stopped a couple years ago cold turkey. Just woke up one day and didn't feel like it anymore, had enough of the shitty physical condition. It definitely helped my cardio and focus. Felt a lot better and didn't have the joint pain anymore.
I've been in an SO Redcliff, SO Cimarron, Kifaru Sawtooth and a couple canvas wall tents. All of them work great in the Snow and or Rain, if you can stay out of the heavy wind. If you can't stay out of heavy wind, I agree with IBen on what to use.
