    Clean Brass

Make sure you are adding a polish to the media. I use Flitz and add a capful of it to the walnut media, then let it run for 15 minutes to distribute the polish, and dry it out a little. If you put the brass in the tumbler when the media is still damp, it will clump up inside the brass and be...

    The great sock debate 2024

The sock system that works best for me is the Kenetrek ultimate liner sock under the Kenetrek Alaska heavy wool sock.

    Camofire Warehouse Sale

I have dealt with both BlackOvis and Camofire many times. They are one in the same, and their reputation is superior in every category. You actually get someone on the phone in the U.S. that speaks English (with no accent), and take care of you instantly. If all companies had BlackOvis' ethics...

    Buying Used Glass

I agree. However, I am wondering if all high end optic companies allow transfer of warranty to the new owner if they are sold. I guess the best thing, in addition to checking out the feedback on the seller, do a quick check on the optic's website to see if it is a transferable warranty. If...

    2nd rifle season bugle?

They won't respond (bugle) or come to you, but if they are walking, they might stop long enough to give you a shot.

How to catch an untrapable mouse.

Maybe he reads Rokslide and thought the best thing to do was clear out.

How to catch an untrapable mouse.

Not sure what you mean by "gun". Can you provide a better description?

I’m not looking for honey holes but…

If in Chama, try Fina's for breakfast, or JV's for lunch. Also, Wilder bakeshop makes unbelievable pastries, cakes, and other goodies you shouldn't have while in training for elk chasing (the owner Jazzmyn Kramer is easy on the eyes too).

I’m not looking for honey holes but…

Amazing what one can do with armadillo and possum. Did he tell you it was pork chops LOL.

I’m not looking for honey holes but…

Pagosa Springs. Lost Cajun has some decent coon-ass food. About as close to New Orleans style as you can get. Owner is from New Orleans, and gets supplies shipped in directly from New Orleans, like Leidenheimer french bread for po-boys.

    Gieselle AR triggers

I have the Geisselle 2 stage trigger in my Patrol rifle (Bushmaster Patrolman's' Carbine). It shoots as advertised, crisp clean break after taking up the slack on the 2nd stage. I haven't weighed the break, but it is a very clean 3 to 4 pounds.

    Truck Topper temps

Reason for high temps could be the exhaust system (including catalytic converter) that run directly underneath the bed of the pickup from the engine compartment to the rear of the truck. The car manufacturers don't put too much insulation between the exhaust pipes and the bed of the truck. Temps...

    Ruger #1 .270 - Load Suggestions

I load my Ruger 77 with 56.5 grains of R-19, and 130 grain Barnes TTSX. Chrono shows 2850 fps. It's not a screamer, but very accurate sub MOA load.

What's your choice for a bonded bullet for a 30 caliber?

I heard that too. I no longer use them, I went to the Barnes 225 TTSX in my .340. I was using the 225 A-Frame, but found them not as accurate as the TTSX.
