we just wrapped up planning a trip for us in January. 5 days of fur and feather hunting. woodcock and quail, and fox squirrels two different dogs. and probably lots of miles in a truck on sand roads. should be a fun trip.
Don't be afraid to show up and low ball someone with cash in hand and a trailer to take it home.
You'll probably get cussed out once or twice but I buy stuff on a deal like that all the time. Especially if it's been for sale for a while.
I spend most the summer looking for a "decent" 4wheeler to leave at deer camp. Didn't want something new or nice. Ended up finding a fourtrax 300 for 600 bucks. It needed a carb and has been a great machine.
i own 2 O/U, a side by side, pump, and semiauto 20ga. and 2 semiauto 12ga. i havent pulled the 12ga's out in a long time to hunt with. mostly loan them to people to shoot skeet or hunt with me.
I have a tundra swan hunt this month and will be taking a 20ga.
for bear defense... get a pistol...
Not a great buck but after the hunt I had that everything went wrong for 4 days when he stepped out at 300 yards I dropped him.
Mountain doe with the 45/70, I really love that gun
I have a cva wolf, 100 grains 777 pellets, and Hornady sabots. These may not be legal where your going so check. But I can't bring myself to buy a "nicer" ml it stacks holes out to 200 yards.
Buy the best components you can afford/find and you will have good shooting guns.
it depends on time of the year. right now im looking for "THE" feed tree. even in a year with tons of acorns there will be one tree for whatever reason they refer and will always stop at. Ive found trees that look like its been tore up by hogs, but its deer looking for acorns from "THE" tree...

assuming he is some kind of construction project manager similar to me. I dont wear dress pants or long sleeve bottom up shirts anymore. I do keep them in the office in case i do have a big todo meeting
I'll be honest. Even if you like the breeder I wouldn't get the last puppy, UNLESS it was the dog the breeder selected for me. My last dog we put a deposit down before the dog was breed. After meeting the parents. Spent the day with the breeder and he got to know us our house hold and what I was...
your hunting grouse in some of the most northern reaches of their range and im just about as far south as you can find them. The old Ruff is a survivor. I count birds down here in miles walked. 5miles to a bird is about typical.
It may not be elk but I have it happen time to time grouse hunting during deer season. I try to not hunt somewhere there is a truck and usually wait till midday.
We had goof numbers of doves in our field last week 15-30 bird groups before the hurricane came and pushed birds out.
We ended up pulling a 2 man limit by 10am. Going to try again tomorrow. Also had my young pup with me and she was acting a fool but had a blast.
