A good bourbon or rye. Neat. It’s made for a few challenging mornings, but it’s delicious. A gnarly hike with a hangover is good for you. Builds character.
Matter fact, next time I need to vet a new hunting partner, I’ll get them liquored up and see if they quit on me in the morning.
In addition to the story from post 2934 about a newborn dying from COVID, who was born 22 weeks early...

Nope, I just assume that in today’s politically polarized world, everyone has an agenda. And even if they don’t have an agenda overtly, maybe they only watch Fox, or maybe their upbringing biased their mind in some way or another. so any given person’s lense thru which they see the world might...
At this point, does anyone believe China telling the truth on anything related to Coronavirus?
If I’m not following your logic. If only 150-200 more people are dying in NYC above the average numbers, how do we have such high death counts in NYC? Are some people dying at home and not being...
If you’re going to believe everything you read, I can’t help you.
I asked for some data on the possibility that deaths are under reported, as I hadn’t heard that (I’m not on Twitter, and apparently that’s where the data resides). Once presented with the data, I accepted that it’s possible...
I’d probably trust the word of the NYC Health Committee, though I don’t trust NYT, so if they’re citing NYT, then maybe not so much. Without seeing the data you’re talking about, I will assume NYT was citing the Health Committee, rather than the other way around.
I’m not saying that the...
(your source link took me to some twitter feed that didn’t immediately seem relevant, and Twitter is a questionable source at best.)
That might be valid, that people are dying at home and are unable to be tested. Care to address the issues like the newborn who died of COVID, referenced in the...
Care to share your data that suggests the deaths are under reported?
I totally agree that things would be much worse if we hadn't taken actions to limit spread of the virus.
Look here:

I mentioned my father who is a lung transplant recipient. He lives in Idaho. Idaho is not projected to have a shortage of beds or ICU beds. I checked a few other rural states that border Idaho. They also do not have...
I’m not saying this isn’t bad, but I disagree with your assessment that all of our communities could be like NYC is. Compare the population densities and you’ll see what I’m getting at. Alpine WY, just for example, will never have an outbreak on the scale of what NYC is seeing because there...
An app won’t happen. South Korea must not have a Fourth Ammendment. I’d be down for taking people’s temps at the door. But tracking/tracing won’t pass judicial review and is ethically wrong in my opinion. If it does happen and pass the legal challenges, we have larger problems than COVID 19.
I don’t disagree that we need accountability. We have elections coming up. Vote your mind. But accountability isn’t more important than getting thru a challenge together. After the challenge, we can debrief and hold people accountable.
If you were in a gunfight, and your teammate/leader/buddy...
This thread makes it painfully obvious that we will not unite during this crisis. And that we’re divided and just want to blame someone across the aisle. This is not what makes us better.
Unless Trump created this virus, you can stop blaming him for it. Should he have taken it more serious...
I own wick boxers, long sleeve crew, and hoody, as well as kiln hoody. They are all awesome and incredibly comfy. And they are in solids, which is good because they get a lot of use in everyday life. I actually love working out in the wick tops. Keeps me comfy in a huge range of temps.

Not to derail the thread too much, but some quick research on this Gates issue. Seems like he wants to help solve global health issues like this. I’m good with that. However, he also seems to think there’s a viable role for surveillance in that effort. I disagree whole-heartedly there. In...
I’m cautiously optimistic that you’re right. However, with our stats so concentrated in a few hot spots, I fear that those hot spots will have plateaued, and that smaller cities will be swamped like New York in a few weeks. I live between Baltimore and DC, and it’s a possibility here.
I’m not...
I agree with all of that. The world seems to be looking negative, and I want to consider both the positive and the negative. I bet reality will land somewhere in the middle.
Thanks. Genuinely appreciate respectful debate and conversation. Stay healthy.
That might be true, but can it be proven? It totally might be accurate. Just trying to be objective and consider the potentially positive along with the potentially negative.
