Once upon a time badlands was a good company. I broke their frame in half. All they asked was I pay shipping and they sent out a new frame. I wasn't asked if I purchased it at a "discount". They stood behind the products. As I said. That ship sailed to China. I believe Kifaru will be the same...
I would've GLADLY paid. I probably would've even bought the new frame sheet. Despite some of the posts I'm not a bottom sucker, discount buyer, bottom feeder, give me give me user of their products. There is more ways then one to make it right. Telling me to buy an entirely new frame is not it.
I have always been of the understanding Kifaru was one of the few companies that still stands behind their products, hence why I used them so long.
Simply make it right. If that one strap is the the only non repairable item on that entire setup, then surely it must not break often?
To be told to...
Not meant to be a bashing fest. However, it's definitely something to consider when purchasing.
I have never had to reach out to Kifaru for repairs. This happened on a pack out with a bull elk this year. Yes it was heavy, but I don't feel it was outside of what the pack is intended for...
Hay on the ground isn't a bad thing, happy goat happy life.

Loading into whatever vehicle you're using for transport is probably more important than saddle training imo...
I run a springbar skyliner. It has a stove jack for wood stove, or a hose port for cords and gas hose. I've set it up too many times in the dark, by myself, and I never have an issue. I've ran it through some good storms without issue, and summer winds. USA made and much better cs than kodiak.
