    Gratitude

I’m grateful for a good job and good employer. I am treated better than I ever thought an employer would treat an employee.

    Gratitude

I’m thankful to have been raised by the greatest father imaginable. He taught me to love the outdoors, hunting, and horses. He taught me to treat women with respect and that family is the most important thing on earth. He taught me the value of hard work and the importance of integrity. I...

    Hoffman Explorer vs. Schnees Granite

While in Alaska I stood in the creek for three hours straight skinning my bear and then had to walk through 6” of marsh for 1.5 miles. My feet never got wet at all in my Schnee’s Granite II boots. While I have never had the Hoffman boots (nor will I ever, due to their poor customer service), I...

    Hoffman Explorer vs. Schnees Granite

I have messaged both Hoffman and Schnees on this site. Hoffman didn’t waste their time to reply, but Schnees were happy to communicate with me. That being said, I love my Schnees Granite II boots. They’re the best boots I’ve owned.

    Hunt Alaska Outfitters

I just got back from a bear hunt with Hunt Alaska Outfitters, and I would highly recommend them. I got a nice bear. Their guides were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to go the extra mile for their hunters.

I’ve had my rifle case broken by British Airlines, but there was no damage to the rifle. Now I only use a Pelican case.

Gear that Worked/Didn’t Work on Kodiak Bear Hunt

The screw on ones are the ones I used too. They must have opened at least thirty times each day. They’re definitely coming off.

Gear that Worked/Didn’t Work on Kodiak Bear Hunt

I just finished my successful Kodiak bear hunt and decided to post a thread on my gear and guide’s gear that worked and didn’t work. I hope someone benefits from the list. It isn’t intended to start any arguments. What worked: 1. My Swarovski EL 10x42 binoculars. Awesome! 2. My guide’s...

    Girls Getting Bloody

Great story! I have six daughters, and they have become as good of hunters as I am—except my youngest daughter. She’s a terrible shot, but we enjoy watching her miss. I am starting to think she intentionally misses so she can hunt the whole season.

    Pocatello Idaho

I went to college there and lived there four years. It wasn’t bad. There are plenty of hunting, hiking, and fishing opportunities nearby.
