The Coopers are great. They are super accurate and well made. Nothing against Tikkas, but if they were as good as the Coopers they wouldn’t be one third the cost. Like with most sporting goods, rifles are no different. You get what you pay for.
You might have to sell me the rifle really cheap, minus the scope. No, seriously, I would try a different scope. If that doesn’t work send the rifle back to Cooper. They will take care of it for you.
.338 Win Mag is my favorite caliber for elk. I have it and the .300 Win Mag, and I’d take the .338 any day over the .300. Then again, I don’t ever plan on shooting an elk beyond 300 yards. That’s just not my thing.
The Schnee’s Granite II boots have been my favorite boots. However, I still have the Schnee’s Granite Pro, Schnee’s Divide, Crispi Guide, Kenetrek Mountain Extreme, and White’s Outdoorsman boots.
