What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Agree on all that. If it’s out in the public domain, the crime might prove itself. And that damages don’t need to be physical. Could also be monetary or reputation or mental anguish I’m sure. I guess whether libel and slander are consequences of free speech or limits on free speech is up for...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Can you cite a source that says that in a libel or slander suit, the burden of proof is on the defendant? That’s not generally the way it works in our judicial system. Can I go claim my neighbor said something false about me, and I win? Because if he didn’t say anything at all, how is he going...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Yes, this is what I’m saying. The libel and slander are crimes that need to be proven. But they aren’t limits on free speech, and so the wack job video shouldn’t be censored just for being false. Libel and slander are the consequences of free speech that does damage.

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

I’m not saying that at all. And I’m not even making any statement about the credibility of the info in the video. I’m only saying that it’s not dangerous like yelling fire in a theater, and so it should not be censored or limited. So your comparison between those two events is disingenuous...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Perhaps you’re correct in your criticisms of that particular video. That’s not at all the same as yelling fire in a theater. The former free speech, while might be stupid, isn’t dangerous like the latter. Unless one believes everything they hear without critical thought. The disgruntled...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

This is a real interesting aspect of this whole situation. The other day I was in a parking lot near a bank. Patrons coming and going wearing masks. And I thought back a few months, to when I read an article about a serial bank robber in the Seattle area. He got away with it by not hurting...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Certainly interesting, where we may be dealing with something that’s less deadly, as a mortality rate, but kills more people due to it spreading so fast, and from asymptomatic carriers. Strange times.

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

I have an uncle, love that dude, but things get real ugly if he doesn’t have his booze. I think they leave the liquor stores open so people like him don’t go to the hospital with withdrawal issues. Whatever the reason, I like it. I enjoy some good bourbon, and at least that part of the...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Is that scientifically proven? If you watched the video from a few posts back, they compare Finland and Sweden. One locked down hard and other didn’t, and they didn’t have hugely different outcomes. This isn’t some long-term, double blind fancy scientific research, but it’s the information we...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

I don’t disagree with any of that. Just that doctors forming an opinion based the patients they see constitutes. I found them credible and appreciate their opinions. They’re certainly more educated opinions than my own. Further, my life and my community are likely closer to what they’re...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Is it reasonable for a pair of doctors to draw conclusions based on the data they are seeing as they treat patients in their clinic? I think I remember them acknowledging that the experience outside their clinic (in NYC, for example), might be different. I don’t think they tried to apply...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

It seems there is an assumption that opinions are biased when they’re based on incomplete data. In reality, incomplete data is all we have. Robby, that’s awesome of Vortex to support our medical professionals. More companies should. I might even go so far as to say there might be a moral...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Hey Buzz, not trying to be argumentative. I agree with everything you’re saying. I just disagree with the scope. There will still be some things that cannot be done from home, so to speak in such absolute terms as you have (or I perceive you have) seems flawed. As to the moose tag, you’re...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

You might be right about some of this. What does your crystal ball say about me drawing a moose tag this year? Or maybe there won’t be fuel available for me to drive out to hunt anyway. Like I said, you might be right. But why speak in absolutes when there really isn’t a way to know? I know...

    Best Hunting Boots

Schnees Timberlines for me. Might check out Beartooths when these wear out. Like the others are saying, fit is a huge deal. What fits well for me may not for you.

I am not smart with understanding global economics. What’s driving the drop in oil prices? How is a pandemic having that effect? Fewer people driving and flying and cruise ships not running as usual? Or is it something more emotional?

New Career. What would you do?

This is a great question, as I’m pondering this for myself, with a twist. I’m in the AF and nearing retirement eligibility. Lately I think I might like to get a pilot license and be a flight instructor (I’m not aircrew in my current specialty). Don’t have any desire to go to the airlines...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

Please accept my apologies if it seemed like I was trying to make things political. This crisis becoming political is my main complaint with all of this, and the blame game that you (and many others - here and elsewhere) seem to be playing makes it feel like the crisis is political. Now is a...

So who is more to blame, Trump, or China? Not that it actually matters. If you already hate trump, you never planned to vote for him. I’d you love trump, you will have praise his COVID response and vote for him. But I guess some people just can’t help themselves and absolutely must assign...

What are your thoughts on the Kung Flu?

I would think so, but it seems critical thinking is as unpopular with WHO as it is with some in this thread.
